Each to his own. At least you don't waste a line for each item.... But, I might want to see what y'all have once in a while. I'd rather not have to scroll past big long signatures all the time. If I wanted to see what you have it was a simple click.... Now I have my phone screen filled up with...

tranny damage on 2 day old rebel

This "discussion" is getting nutty.... It's cut and dry. A part failed, albeit large, and Ram is going to replace the failed part. Under warranty.... That's it. Simple. R. E. L. A. X. FCA doesn't OWE the OP anything else.

Just another reason to buy locally, even if you end up paying a bit more. Those "savings" are out the window in this situation. When you deal with the service department at the selling dealer, they will be more likely to help out and eat some costs that FCA or any other manufacturer won't cover...

    Anyone have this issue before?

I don't know about that. They are relatively low production manufacturers compared to a pickup. And when I drive by those dealers, their service lots are far from empty. And I doubt they are there for a free car wash....

    Anyone have this issue before?

The more expensive means more equipment which means more potential for an issue. The higher the price doesn't equate to better quality. All it means is you added a lot of stuff. It still gets built on the same line as a beercan truck.

    Anyone have this issue before?

Probably a loose plug which would be a quick fix.

ETorque ? Anyone happy with it? Reliability ?

2 years + into my eTorque ownership. No issues with it. It was cheap when I ordered it. Not sure what it costs now.

tranny damage on 2 day old rebel

See post #16 Never affected my resale. Yanking the engine was way more involved than swapping a trans. Never lost sleep over it. A warranty repair, plain and simple. Hardly a blip in my life.....

tranny damage on 2 day old rebel

My engine was running fine but Ford was putting forged pistons in the Lightnings and some were a little small and the truck sounded like a diesel when you started it cold. Once the pistons warmed and expanded it would quiet down. I didn't like it and the engineers back in Detroit wanted to tear...

tranny damage on 2 day old rebel

The manufacturer has no obligation to offer any free warranty extension. They are doing what the original warranty is there for. Fixing a failure within the 3 year / 36,000 mi coverage regardless if it's at 2 years and 364 days /35,999 miles or in your case, 2 days. I had a complete engine...

    Electric truck

Will I miss big block V-8 engines? Sure. But the prototype ev Mustang Cobra Jet running at the Summer Nationals at Indy this weekend has gotten my interest big time. Bob Tasca made test pass earlier this week. 8.27 / 168 mph quarter mile run. Practical? Heck no. But I've been known to own some...

    Locking Gas Cap

Yeah right...... Several vehicles on your block have had their gas tanks filled with sugar? I'm not that gullible over your internet claims..... I don't believe a thing you spewed. Regardless, it's nothing I ever worry about. If I was that intent on messing with someone's gas filler and found...

I answered you on the other forum. You'll be getting a fresh trans not a rebuild....

    Locking Gas Cap

Nope... And I lived in the lightning capital of the USA - Florida for about 28 years. Been out on the Gulf and Atlantic in thunderstorms. No place to hide out there and didn't worry much about it.

    Locking Gas Cap

Because there are many apparently experiencing a non-locking capless system for the first time and are worried about it. I'm pointing out that it's a non-issue. Millions of cars and trucks on the road equipped like that and if it was a serious concern it would be all over the various forums and...

    Locking Gas Cap

Yes, I have had vehicles vandalized over my 54 years of ownership, from getting egged, to wheels stolen and things in my interior taken like toll tokens and a radar detector. So yes, I lock my house and vehicles to deter theft. I'm way more likely to get hit by lightning than someone putting...

    Locking Gas Cap

My 3 Mustangs since 2008 had no locks/no caps, none of my Rams or Dodges (including my Ram diesel 2500), my Jeep had no locks but a screw on cap(which was a pain). Literally millions of vehicles on the road with capless tanks without locks. Like I said..... You're being paranoid over the whole...

    Tailgate

Now I understand your question. Mine was initially hard to close completely and it took a "slam" to close it completely. Within a couple of weeks I could close it normally. Figured the rubber stops clearanced themselves.

A big warning that appears on the instrument cluster not enough?

    Locking Gas Cap

One word.... Paranoid. I suspect those clamoring for a lock are first-time capless gas tank owners. I've been on car and truck forums probably since forums came about and I can't recall anyone from Fords, GMs or Dodge/Ram complaining about getting tanks messed with. All sorts of vandalism...
