I hate rust... when installing a cat-back system I saw several areas with superficial rust, i.e., frame spot welds, drive shaft, axle, pumpkin, etc., and I painted everything while under there. I agree, you shouldn’t have to paint a new vehicle, but you’ll find rust on the undercarriage of most...
Was going to purchase a limited, but it was way too blingy with all of the chrome cladding. That’s what is great about Ram... it can be equipped for everyone’s taste.
I’d say that it is the superficial oil coating on the manifold and exhaust components that is burning off and permeating into the AC vents. Turn off the AC to see if the odor is still present. If so, then you can at least rule out that there is a problem with the AC, which is doubtful.
If you use the remote start, then it will shut off after 15 minutes. If you use the push start, then I don’t believe that it will shut off until it runs out of gas... but not 100% certain.
If you noticed at car washes there are typical cost levels, to include: basic, undercarriage clearning, hot wax coating, etc. Most people think more is better, which isn’t always true. It’s the wax in the soap that is causing the spots. I took my 2020 Rebel to a touchless car wash once, and all...
I just use a damp microfiber cloth and apply Meguiar’s Natural Shine on all of my vehicles. I don’t like the glossy look, and this stuff gives a clean natural OEM-like appearance, while providing UV protection.
I started a thread earlier about the factory spare (32.1”) on a Rebel being an inch shorter, which doesn’t make sense.
While you can run a 34” spare on a 35” set-up in an emergency, I wouldn’t think running it for long would be good. Just for chitz-&-giggles I test fitted the OEM Rebel 33”...
Thx. I have the ventilated seats in other vehicles, and they are nice, but wasn’t a must have on my Rebel. My neighbor was just over and raving about the 19 speaker/950 watt HK system, and reminiscing about his one dash speaker in his ‘82 Ram. They’ve certainly come a long way with the creature...
Aside from the ventilated seats, rear heated seats, and a couple other things, the Rebel can be equipped out the yin-yang. As far as red accents, you can now elect the all black interior, which is what I did:
I decided on the Rebel. It has an aggressive appearance, plus has most of the available creature comforts. I added a Borla cat-back system, and it now sounds like it looks (y)
That sucks, but very easy to replace... drop the lower wheel liners, unplug the harness to the parking sensors, and remove the three bolts on each side. Hopefully you can find a cheap replacement and just swap it out.
