I like everything about this TRX, but unfortunately dealerships will be tacking on their ridiculous ADMs, which I refuse to pay. So I guess that I’ll have to wait a little longer... or maybe Ford will drop a V8 back into the Raptor to make things interesting again.
The chrome has been pitted exposing the raw metal below. As such, the rust will ultimately return. Keeping that area protected with wax, or similar, will help keep the rust at bay. The old staying, “they don’t make them like they use to,” certainly applies to chrome plating. Manufactures have...
If it’s damaged by rocks, stones, or other debris and then it rust, the I doubt that it’ll be covered. If it’s a defect in the chrome plating, then it will be covered...
Funny, I was just looking at the pics in the thread and my truck looks like I have a leveling kit. The front suspension didn’t settle yet after jacking when I took the pics. Looks like my next mod will be a leveling kit :D
There is certainly no consistency w/fit and finish. While I’m happy w/my truck, I leaned a long time ago that you shouldn’t look too close at anything. You’ll definitely find flaws everywhere, and this isn’t exclusive to Ram. All cars have issues. If you’re a perfectionist, then you’ll go crazy...
^^^ Aluminum can be repaired. More difficult, but definitely repairable. Do you think that they replace Ford truck panels if they get more than a “tiny dent“?:ROFLMAO:
Most vehicles made over the past 20+ years have been using aluminum hoods, as well as other panels, including tailgates...
Yeah, that’s certainly a string of bad luck. I have a Rebel, and the hood definitely sets it off. The faux vents are lame, but it still looks good. Just be aware that it sits higher, so judging the front is a little more difficult, but not a big deal.
The RAM logo is a nice touch. I would’ve prefer if it was little closer to the body, but it’s very functional as is... I’ve had others where I was constantly hitting my foot/toe against the rockers. I have yet to do that w/the Mopar boards.
This nitrogen crap was first popularized in a commercial application in the motorcycle world, particular racing/sport bikes, which made sense due to power/weight ratio, lower air volume, etc. It was subsequently debunked by various credible sources. Any performance gains are negligible. Charging...
I’ve said this many times... More often than not any repair(s) are usually worse, and creates more issues, than if left alone
OP, I agree... Go to an upholstery professional.
The suction cup marks are factory... often even when a windshield appears to be clean, they’ll still appear with dew. Not a big deal. Also, there are different fillers pieces. The lower is just the matte black finish. The upper (under the headlight) has the body color finish. This piece will...
I’ve removed a lot of emblems and other items held on w/3M tape. I’ve found that fishing and adhesive removal, or similar, works best. The fishing line cuts through the tape like butter. When applying the new emblem, clean the surface w/isopropyl alcohol to ensure any remaining residue or wax is...
