You will not have to cut the lugs. Also, you will not need an alignment. I just installed the Bora spacers. Here’s the link: https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/wheel-spacers-again.21475/
I finally got around to fixing my bumper. After delivery of my 2020 Rebel I noticed that the bumper was not aligned. While it’s hard to see in the picture, it was leaning on the driver’s side by approximately 3/8”. I could fit my hand between the grille and the headlight filler panel on the...
I’ve had drop-in liners installed in all of my previous trucks, and was generally satisfied. I elected the factory spray-on liner this time around on my ‘20 Rebel. I haven’t had it long enough to form an opinion except that it looks a lot better and seems more durable. The only negatives are...
Short answer, no. It “could” void the warranty on the exhaust, or any component that was directly affected, but otherwise the warranty will remain valid. Example, if an OEM muffler clamp broke, it “might” not be covered. If your struts, transmission, radio, AC, rear slider, power seats, etc...
Whatever that Ram has, I’m still glad that I don’t have it on non-eTq HEMI.
Not everyone. I have the Borla S-Type and the MDS is barely audible... If fact, I’ve only heard it kick in a couple times while coasting down hill. So definitely not a big deal.
The 5.7 has been a good engine, but the MDS certainly does not add to its reliability. I have the non-eTq, so at least I don’t have to deal w/the Start/Stop BS that’s equipped on my Jeeps.
My brother-in-law recently made the swap with no regrets, although he went w/the HEMI. There is no substitute for power, which the TRD is seriously lacking.
I have a Rebel w/MFT only and really like it. The only negative is the limited availability of tonneau covers. There are a lot more options if you elect the Ram Box and MFT.
I have the S-Type (Part #140752BC), and love it... but under load it has a slight drone. It’s easy to work around it by changing the RPMs w/the throttle, but if towing I’m sure it would be much worse. Borla offers a resonator (Part #60667), which is installed before the muffler that is suppose...
One problem is that a lot of companies have not updated their websites, i.e., most leveling kits don’t list the Rebel... when many on this forum have successfully installed kits made for the Gen 4. Many parts have universal fitment. As mentioned above, you have to conduct a little more research.
^^^ Lemon Law is not always the answer, and varies from state-to-state, but “generally” it states that manufacturer must correct any flaw that occurs under any of the following conditions:
- Within 1 year of the vehicle ownership.
- Before the vehicle hits 12,000 miles.
- While warranty is...
