Price wise, you are better off with Jscan or alfaobd for making the changes you want. If you don't want any of the live features of the TazerDT, it's really not worth it. There is no firmware update for OBD2 adapters AFAIK. They either work or they don't.

With any of these small jump packs, the level of discharge of the battery on the vehicle being jumped plays s big part in if it will work or not. Especially on big v8s or diesels.
