There are issues with every brand of truck. Go to the F150 forums and you'll read the same. I learned a while back not to let forums factor much in to a decision. I'm fairly sure that only a small percentage of the 5th Gens have any issues, just like every other brand.
You don't think that depreciation costs are added in to a lease? Of course they are. And at the end you turn it in, hope there are no additional penalties such as mileage, prior crashes, paint defects, dents, and you have nothing. I know there's a lump sum due at the beginning of a lease...
I use the Hypertech. Speedometer is dead nuts on now. I didn't want to spend the money on it, but there's no way of knowing how long until the dealer has the ability to correct the speedometer, if ever. And after driving around for a while I realized being off 5mph slow bothered me and I was...
I did. I also chose the 19 Ram over another F150 for all the reasons above, plus others. And I'm a Ford guy, had Ford's my whole life. So for me, the fact that I chose the Ram over the Ford this time is a testament as to just how far Ram has come. I'll tell you this also, the Ram 5.7 doesn't...
Well, actually 38-40 psi is overinflated from what the OE tires and door sticker calls for. But it's a whole different kind of tire and I'm not sure if 35psi in a D load range equates to the same load capability as 35psi in an E load range or not. Obviously that load range is overkill for a...
You guys that have went to a larger tire probably had to use an E load range tire. At least I did when I went to 275/65-20. There were little to no tires that size a C or D load range. Anyway, the E load range tire calls for 80psi at its max load rating. I'm trying different pressures to see...
Yeah, I'll have that stupid carolina lean look when I hook up the camper. I need to figure something out there, maybe air bags in the rear or a 1-2" spacer for the rear if I can find one separately. I don't mind the raked stance, I just wanted the front up a bit higher and taller tires.
I installed a Rough Country 2" spring preload spacer and Falken Wildpeak A/T in a 275/65-20. Tires are taller than the 55s that came on it. I think 34" tall vs 32" tall. The downside is they are load range E, so that had me a bit concerned about ride quality. I was also concerned about...
I did 50%. I had darker on my last truck and I hated not being able to see out the window at night. Especially trying to back up a trailer or even see the trailer without lowing the window.
