This is what I needed, thank you! Do camper dealers typically advertise the dry tongue weight? I feel like I only see the total trailer weight on the listing. I found a 28.5' around 6,000 lbs, sounds like I will be super comfortable with that?
Do you also think I need the upgraded hellwig sway?
Good points and I appreciate the input. I grew up camping in a small Coleman pop-up tent trailer every summer near Mount Shasta in NorCal. Great memories that I would like my kids to experience as well.
Hello, super new to the towing game, never towed a trailer but want to look into purchasing something reasonable for my family (2 adults, 2 young kids, 1 big dog).
I put my VIN # into the towing calculator on RAM's website and these are my numbers:
MAX PAYLOAD LB: 1,543( Disclosure
MAX TOWING...
Probably a stupid question, but why didn't you just get the defenders in the stock size determined by manufacturer to be best for the vehicle? I'm trying to decide if it's worth going slightly bigger for just the look...doesn't seem like there's any other benefit and I definitely don't want to...
Is anyone with a 2021 still having this issue?
It was awful with my 2019 but never had a single occurrence in my 2021. I figured it was part of the "1st year of a new body style" issue list.
After reading through this thread it sounds like Michelin Defenders are still the best compromise of ride quality, cabin noise and performance in less than optimal conditions.
Bro, thanks for sharing! I think this is what I want to do, can you share more pics of the overall look of the truck and some side profile of the tires? Also, any noticeable difference in ride quality, sound, rubbing? Thanks again for sharing.
I know it won't be a software update I'm talking about an entire radio replacement upgrade from the dealership to get UC5. I read somewhere on these forums it's doable aftermarket but was hoping the dealership would support a swap.
Same boat, curious how an all terrain tire looks on the black 22s with stock (non off-road group) suspension. I also have 4x4 (not sure if that impacts the stock ride height? Anyone know?)
Agreed, however, if I were to choose it would be the 2021 due to having less than half of the mileage of the 2020. That being said the owner bought flame red and added loud exhaust, how well do you think it was driven?
I see what you mean and think your definition of "tint" as a color is accurate.
When we all say "tint" I think we all are actually referring to additional window "film."
Yeah that makes sense...I guess my only point is that privacy glass should not be seen as identical to window tint nor should it be assumed they provide the same benefits.
Sorry for the confusion. It is my understanding that "privacy glass" and "tint" are two different things (based on what my local tint shop told me). From the factory, none of the windows are tinted. The rears simply have privacy glass which makes them darker but provides no UV protection or heat...
