The Limited I rented for a long weekend in Florida recently struggled to get up to 16.5 combined when I turned her back in after a few hundred miles. And I nursed the heck out of her down there. 😝😂. Point being, I’m very happy with my MPG’s and how I built my truck so far. As many have said...
I lost 1.5-2 MPG going up 2” and running 35’s (285/65/20). If I nurse the throttle and drive like a Grandpa (no offense to the Grandpa’s) I can probably almost negate the loss. At least minimize it more. But I got the Hemi for a reason and enjoy my driving experience so that ~2 MPG loss is...
Still a little too new for my comfort. Hopefully that will change tho. I was at the dealer getting an oil change (free) this morning and a few Blacked Out Big Horns were in the lot with the SST. It def peaked my interest and would love to take one out for a spin. Just didn’t have the time today…
I agree with @jl13 that those prices seem high. Find a local reputable mechanic to get a second opinion. I wouldn’t be opposed to aftermarket at the mechanics suggestion.
Sorry to hear about your situation and I understand your frustration. Hopefully your dealer figures it out promptly. But this is exactly the reason I avoid first model releases (not only new engines or vehicles, but also iPhone and technology).
I made it through 12 and 1/2 months of owner ship before my first windshield chip. My 4th gen lasted ~3 months and all my previous YJ’s and TJ’s even less.
Anyone have any suggestions for repair? I’ve heard Safelite can epoxy it but I have no prior experience with them.
