Sounds like you are buying some great products!! IF the CCS white pads are not enough, you could move to a CCS yellow that is more aggressive. As others have stated, just take your time. I would suggest treating the plastic on your truck before using a buffer (or tape it off). GL!!
I decided not the order my truck with the ORP (off-road protection group) but did elect to buy it with the PG (protection group), which includes:
Front Suspension Skid-Plate
Fuel Tank Skid-Plate
Steering Gear Skid-Plate
Tow Hooks
Transfer-Case Skid-Plate
From factory it adds $395. I know you...
I wanted to share my experience. Just purchased an 8/85k extended warranty through Zeigler. I sent an email to several of the top recommended dealers and got an almost immediate response from Sam at Zeigler (I had received a quote from Zeigler back in Jan. when I first ordered my truck). She...
Picked up my truck a few days ago and it's at Xpel Dallas getting the front protected. Almost decided to skip it.....reading this, I'm glad I went ahead and got it!!
Due to finding out on this board that the night edition comes with chrome lug nuts o_O, I called my SA and told him that I would not accept (ordered the truck) without black lug nuts....which they put on when the truck arrived!! ;) Regarding marring of the black lug nuts, they make a nylon...
I was looking at all the options the other day and seem to remember that you can set a default for this. My truck is currently getting Xpel PPF and I'll take a look to see if I can find this when I get it back.
Anyone ever use Adams VRT (Vinyl/Rubber/Trim)? I use a lot of Adams products and have been happy. Just got the truck and waiting to install my BAK Revolver X4s and thinking about what product to use on it. I've heard good things about 303, so just curious to get more thoughts. Thanks!
I am thinking about going with the Bilstein's (most likely all 4 if I can find them) and level the front. Sorry, but being unfamiliar with suspensions, can anyone help me understand why you replace the UCA over factory (or do you depending upon how you use the truck)? Thanks!
Thank you @securityguy for taking the time to contact PC and relay your conversation in detail. As a potential PC customer, it's nice to have additional information in which I can make a more informed decision.
I've been using the R3 for years now (ex V1 user) and really like it. Stoked to get the R7 up and running in the new truck!! It's a great RD for sure!!
Looks like a nice and clean install. I've got my new R7 and just waiting for the hardwire kit to arrive and then I'll install. Many thanks to @securityguy for all the help and answering my questions!!
Fellow Adams user here as well. I like their products and the leather care can be applied on all the interior trim (plastic, vinyl and leather) inside the cabin! SPF 65 and smells like leather!! I've heard good things about 303......it's nice to have choices! 😁
Thanks @Neurobit and @shaun6453!! Truck is billet silver and I meant compound (not cut) vs polish! Should only need a light polish I'm thinking and will know more when I wash it and take a good look at it (looked carefully when I picked it up and could not see any obvious swirls, etc.....was a...
Thanks @shaun6453 Interested in why you would recommend a "light light cut" instead of a light polish? Truck has 48 miles on it if this helps. I've done enough research on the G9 to know that it's an outstanding machine and have no worries about it!!
Thanks for the heads up @frostymug !!! I just bought an R7 a few days ago from Bestbuy and called to get my price match!! Agree with @securityguy that the R7 is a great RD and at the current price of $375 it's a no brainer!!
