For me it was just simple peace of mind and knowing that I plan on keeping this truck well past the 3/36k factory warranty. Waiting til just before the 12k/24k/36k warranty price increases ($200??) only adds to my final extended warranty costs and not worth it for me.

Agree 100% with what the other have said. Would also add, that in very hot climates (like Texas where I live) it could be very beneficial to get the back three windows ceramic tinted as well if you are doing the front two. The back three are factory tinted, but will not have the UV/IR rating...

Very doubtful that PPF will be applied, with success, to a rough surface. I just had Xpel PPF put on my Laramie and they were very specific and clear on this point. Talk with a competent installer.

That is what I think as well. Not sure I want the dealer to "diagnose" the issue to be honest. However, in the very off chance I will need this in the next 11 1/2 months, it would be nice to have and have it actually work!

So, I just got off the phone with Uconnect. After 20 minutes, they told me their tests were successful (nothing actually happened with the truck!!) and that I would have to see the dealer for service of the head end unit!! Not sure if I should actually mention it to the dealer as I don't want...

The Porsche app works great, is fast and contains some very useful information that Uconnect simply does not have. This Uconnect won't get used and will be dropped after first year. Too bad, it could be a very useful benefit.....
