One of the many benefits of ceramic coating is that it makes washing and especially drying a vehicle very easy and less time consuming. Also protects the paint from bird droppings, lite surface scratches, etc. I am planning on doing the ceramic coating myself as it's expensive to have this...
Be careful when using a non dedicated air blower to dry off your car as dust and dirt can be blown onto a clean surface. I use a dedicated air cannon (ie master blaster) that heats and filters the air.....but admittedly it's a little overkill!! Talk about power....has dual 4 hp motors that can...
No BSM is a deal killer for me. My build sheet and window sticker both have it listed so it appears that I beat the 2/1 deadline. Not worth a measly $200 credit to go without IMO. Could always search for a built truck and see how close you can get!!
This is great news and quite some time in the making. I have an R3 and was just looking at R7's last night. I tried the single suction cup (have used the double suction cups for years, but do come off the window every now and then) for the R3 in my 911 last night and not liking how it fits in...
I have received a ETA of 3/1-3/15 from Ram chat and 3/4-3/10 from the dealer, so should know in a couple of weeks how accurate the shipping date estimates are!
Hey @MagicA4, fellow 992 owner here too!! Really amazes me that Ram is so far behind when the technology exists to track throughout the build process, including shipping! Absolutely love my 992 and hope you do too!?
Sad that with all the the technology available these days that buyers can't get more specific and accurate information. With Porsche, you have the ability to actually watch your car on the production line at certain times!! Come on Ram!!!
I was told by Ram chat when mine was in "sequenced for production" status that it could stay in that status for up to 30 days (mine was on day 10 when I checked).
Thanks for all the reply's. Looks like my truck will arrive during March, so will just see what incentives are available when it comes in. I'm locked into pricing currently and can only improve based upon current incentives when truck arrives.
This is so true. My dad (god rest his sole) was always waiting for the next year to upgrade his truck......for many many years. He never did get that new truck...... I could have waited to order mine, but decided to just do it.....
Not a dumb question at all. Assuming a competent installer and they rolled the edges, I would not worry too much about it. I hand wash my cars and have PPF on them and have never had any issues.
Ram chat just told me that mine is in the "shipping stage" whatever that really means!? So, not sure if it has actually been shipped or just being prepped to ship. Estimated dealer arrival date is 3/1-3/15.
