you do need a new harness or make one. If he has a center console with just usb’s in the back the wires that go to the buttos that he would have to add to turn on the rear seasts are not in the existing harness.
not sure if this helps but the HD part numbers for the door handles will not work on your truck. Maybe you already figured that out but I did not investigate the part numbers you posted. For the rear antenna the number of holes doesn’t matter. There was a part # that worked but was much...
you need to replace the screen, radio module, and get adapter harnesses. You might want to read through this thread. Lots of info and importantly info on what you "lose" when doing this upgrade.
I saw a thread where the handles are the exact same overall and can be taken apart. At that point you could carefully cut the hole your textured one and “possibly” make it work. I did not see any confirmation so that statement is for research purposes only. I had the textured ones but like...
this is what I’m finding for those connctors on alldata
passenger side (XY435A) 7283-6455-40 $2.02 In stock at mouser
drivers side (XY430A) 7289-6568-30 $2.25 not stocked 9 week leak time at mouser
double check that though
another thing to look at when you have the center console out it to take connector XY330A apart and make sure the male terminal at pin 30 didn't get bent when it was put together.
I wouldn't worry about the pink wire. I was just saying that the engine has to be running for that one to have power.
If pin 30 is not populated in the IP harness you would need to run a wire back to the connector on the fuse box.
If the wire is populated at pin 30 I would check to see if...
also when you say you tested the pink wire with the ignition on was the truck actually running or just set to on, that makes a difference as that wire goes to one of the seat heaters or the steering wheel and they will not work unless the truck is running.
ok that actually makes sense then. The one you just tested and has power is the fused B+ for the Lumbar control. The bigger red one powers the seat for adjustment.
Unfortunately the next connector XY330A to look at for any issues or the possibility that the wire is not populated in the IP...
Yea my connector in that pic was pretty bare because the wires were not there for heated/cooled seats and steering wheel. The pink in the lower right is fused ignition so that would not light up without the truck running. Its the red wire to the left of that pink wire that I was circling. Did...
I would not rule out the possibility that the required power wire or wires are not there on your body harness. brentals 2022 didn't have the power wires. When you get a chance unplug the passenger seat connector(should be able do do it without removing the seat) and confirm these wires are...
