I always bought seat protectors specifically designed for car seats. They have strategically placed padding and do a good job. I would look into buying one.
Why would they charge you are you not under warranty? Don't forget there's a separate emissions warranty as well. Your issues could be covered under that.

I think they are a must have and in my opinion should not be an option but a standard feature. Seems so ridiculous that with all the bells and whistles these trucks have 2 thin pieces of plastic have to be an added option. 🙄
Weird, I have 18k miles on mine now and they perform awesome in all types of weather. Maybe the best all around tire I've had. I live in the PNW and have put these tires through everything from 115 degree heat to -15 degree snow storms and don't have a single complaint.
Washed it then sprayed it with Adam's iron remover then washed it again then clawed it then put 2 coats of Adam's Graphene spray coating on. Should be good to go for winter now.
