Sorry man, not trying to bum you out or anything. Even though the chances are slim, its always better to play it safe than sorry, ya know? Rubbing your liners is no issue, just annoying, but rubbing your UCA (which I doubt would happen given you're running a 295) could cause issues of their own...
@Cajun can you confirm it doesn't rub the UCA for our guy here? You gotta check full lock both ways. If not, then @BossHawg should be good to pass on those spacers. They are generally not a good idea since you're effectively reducing the amount of threading you have on your lugs (read sheared...
Just have them put the proper lift on and leave the wheel and tire combo alone. This guy sounds like a dumbass to be completely honest. I distinctly remember at one of the auto shows this thing was shown at the head of Mopar was bragging about the ability to run those 35's no issue.
edit...
Second what Rammit said, if you go with a negative offset you run the risk of having some rubbing ( probably only at full lock). Your current wheels should work just fine though., don't let the dealer sell you something you don't need. Most folks would go negative offset so they don't rub the...
Ram marketed the 2 inch MOPAR lift as being able to accept 35x12.5 so I doubt there will be an issue if you're using the stock wheels. I'm basing this off the press truck below. (offsets of those wheels should be the same as stock wheels.)
I know that feel, the truck was great but the squeal made it sound like you were driving a dump truck. It's perfect now that the brakes are silent! Loving this truck!
Question, I replaced my interior lights on my 2011 with LED's and the back seat light wouldnt turn on if the truck wasn't on ( even though you press it to turn it on). Can you confirm that it will turn on if you have the truck off, otherwise it's a deal breaker for me swapping in the LED's.
The Readylift is a great kit, however, I would imagine with the offroad package + the 3.5 Readylift the CV angles are pretty extreme, as well aslower ball joints and tie rods are probably not super happy either. You're looking at 4.5 inches of lift ( if you add the two together) without a diff...
That 4x4 part number is correct, I ordered it last night. The last one I need to find is the Bighorn badge for the tailgate but I might leave it as is since the small amount of chrome it adds make's it actually legible. You can barely read the badge on the with the black version.
It's really going to be a matter of personal taste in music and the sound profiles that go with it. I haven't listened to the HK system myself, but I assume quite a few of the people who have complaints are probably equating loudness to "sound quality" rather than fidelity and clarity.
Mine's at the dealer right now hopefully getting the issue resolved. Used this post as well as a quote from another customers tech line to help them get down to the issue at hand. This is the second time it's gone in for this and I'm praying they get it knocked out, it's day 3 of them having it...
I've noticed that MDS cycles much less than my 2011 did as well. I practically have to coax it into MDS when I want it to by letting off the throttle a bit till it kicks in then just letting it settle in on it. Personally I'm fine with being less intrusive as it was in the past.
Mine were the same way but they seemed to break in after a few months of use. No issues anymore, who would have thought a door would need a break in period.
Definitely will work with this setup. Ram advertised their leveling kit with 35's with that Red Mopar truck they were taking around from show to show.
It should be noted though you're going to run into issues if you go to a negative offset though. I have 33x12.5R20 Nitto's and Hostile wheels...
The interior design has only been around since 2014... It's not that old in actual years, but it didnt age particularly well IMO. Still better than GM.
No matter what anyone tells you, the MDS will drone with any exhaust, on 4th gen it even droned with stock exhaust, 5th gen is only neutralized from the frame shakers that cancel out the vibrations and active noise canceling. The key is how much are you willing to tolerate. The quieter the...
