Yeah, those 2.7's are a great little motor if you arent doing a ton of towing. They punch way above their weight for the average use conditions.
The 5.7 with 3.92 and the 8speed isn't nearly as "surgey" for lack of better term than my 2011 withthe 5 speed, it's just a constant strong pull all...
As the name of the thread implies. I'm looking to see if anyone else has seen anything come on the market for leveling kits besides the Rough Country 2" spacer.
I had Bilstein 5100's set at 2.8 on my 2011 and loved them, and ideally I would like to wait until those become available for the...
I got the 3.92 for this very reason. I test drove a Laramie with the 3.21 and knew it wouldn’t be sufficient once the wheels were swapped. My truck with the 3.92 scoots!
I think the real question is who is going to be the first GMC owner to bolt some of the 22 inch Limited rims on their truck? Enormous rims have been a GM styling crutch for years. I'm Simply not a fan.
I think I'm going to put some Fuel mavericks or Fuel Vandals with Toyo Opencountry
Haha yeah I suppose so. I'm sure the orders will start pouring in sooner rather than later. Can't wait to see what everyone else got! The truck is phenomenal, I'm constantly amazed at how well behaved and smooth the driving characteristics are. Theres only 7 years difference between my 2011 and...
How about now?
I'm going to take some good pictures of everything once the weather clears up a bit. Then I'm putting new wheels, tires and a level on pretty soon as well, so plenty of pictures after that.
(see attachment)
Finally picked the new truck up late last night. This is the only picture we snagged with both of the trucks. Sorry for the potato quality picture and my dumb face being in the picture! It's an awesome truck, can't wait to start racking up the miles on it!
For the basic extended warranty, not covering silly things like the tires, batter, windshield, stuff like that, it was $2,500 for 5 years 100K miles. I'm not sure about whether or not there is a price increase based on trim or sale price, but it didn't sound like it when I signed my paperwork...
Long story short the delivery was delayed, it’s looking like it’s going to be some time this week. It’s been at the rail yard near Fort Worth, just 45 minutes from the dealer since 4/21. Kind of a bummer but it’s just stuck in the system and there isn’t much that can be done to expedite it...
Maximum steel is one of those colors that absolutely does not photograph well, but it looks awesome in person especially with some good sunlight. I'm sure that Limited is drop dead gorgeous in person.

I just remembered reading it was in articles. I see what you’re getting at because it certainly is similar.
that’s what drew me to the lomax, it’s practically zero effort to pull the whole thing off if you need full bed space. I guess the draw back is that if you have it off and need it, it’s not there. It is raised maybe less than a quarter inch above the bed rails too so it looks really slick.
I was telling Firecadet earlier my the Lomax is going to be my option for a bed cover if I go that route. It’s a bit spendy but the super easy removal, hard top, and super low profile is very enticing.
Your comment on the F-250 sparked a thought i had awhile ago. I'm woefully ignorant as to what motors the e-torque system can be implemented in, but would it be completely out of the question for ram to be hooking it up to the Ecodiesel? Since it's putting the power through the transmission...
