Ok this is laying the tape across the back of the bed on the metal between the bed rail caps. Outside is the outside of the caps where the plastic ends. Inside 61 7/8ths rounded down /smaller Outside 71 1/8th It doesn't look like it gets wider or narrower at any point.

You could definately be on to something I have Black Forest Green which is almost black so that could have something to do with it looking short. I never even considered that.

Thanks I like the max steel as well, they have some really cool colors. I remember the dealer asking if I'd like steel and I said no but when I saw it I added it to the possibles.

Thanks, that's exactly it. In anything but direct sunlight it's black but it's green up close or in bright light.

Just picked mine up today and it's well worth the wait. This is the elusive Black Forest Green. Great color in person but hard to find so I took a chance and it paid off.

Talk to a dealer as well about things you really want if they dont seem available. I "couldnt" get a panoramic sunroof on a bighorn on the website when I ordered but it was an option on the dealers computer when I ordered.

I did the 6'4 on mine. My old truck was a 6'4 bed and I never wished it was smaller. I wished it was longer a few times (Yes, we are doing phrasing) but an 8 ft bed seems like a limo. If I hate it i'll let you know but I park in the back and walk in lots and have plenty of driveway so I think...

It appears to be a rotating thing. Sometimes offered sometimes not. Also wait until your truck is on rail and then request a brochure. There are random $500 off incentives in those but not in every one. If you don't get it the first go around then order a brochure again but wait until it ships...
