Our winters are pretty mild but I do go see family in ND so I'll have to report back. So far so good though. The handles are plastic but they are pretty thick. It seems to hold moisture out well from washings. Sadly we arent in the kind of weather at the moment that will let me truly test it but...
I'd hope the pano roof is closer to front windshield toughness compared to the other windows which arent that tough. Knock wood, my AC blew cold enough to get me feeling like turning it down and its 97 degrees outside.
I dont get to log all the miles you guys do but I've been able to spend more time in it recently and heres what I've got so far.
Its a pleasure to drive, I think up reasons to go get in my truck and go somewhere.
The features are fantastic, the phone sync is effortless and I like the amount...
I usually keep it in 2WD unless its snowing for regular driving. I use 4auto for snow and only touch the locks if I'm stuck. I've never had an Elocker or Hill Descent before so I may consider it for off roading but honestly I'll have to learn to use them.
I picked up a Tyger trifold for about 240 and its doing well currently. We wont get rain until september so heres to hoping but after washing the truck and spraying down the cover I didnt notice any leaks.
I just posted mine up on fuelly but I did a bunch of towing mixed in. On the bright side my towing mpg was pretty good considering I was going up and down hill a bunch in traffic. I'll be curious to see what I get just driving normal and on mostly highways.
I have the stock stereo and its just fine for me. I listen to alot of talk radio, podcasts and sports though. When I run music through it, it sounds really good to my ear. I guess it all depends on what you are looking for. I'm more of a quality guy than a loud guy so if you like a loud stereo I...
I kicked this around as well and went for it. Better tires and skid plates for that price is a solid value, adding an elocker and hill descent plus a lift all for 495 makes it a ridiculous value IMO.
I don't off road much but it's nice having the equipment and I took a fat branch to one of my...
I think we all want to give the help we wish we would have had in deals past. Alot of really good helpful folks with good advice on here for sure. Remember to throw up where you are so we can give feedback on dealers and places to shop.
Whatever you do make sure you dont use that dealership. Dont haggle with them or use anything to talk them down just walk away. If thats what they are like up front they will try to hose you elsewhere too.
I negotiated 3 free oil changes and tire rotations but I'm not aware of just getting them free. I want to say my wifes Passat had free service for a bit but I forget if that was a dealer thing or a VW thing.
