Well I added my switch panel to the truck today. I got a 3D printed mount for it; sanded it down and painted it; then wrapped the switch panel itself. If you’re interested, I posted a video on my Instagram how to install the panel and route the wires with NO drilling at all
No WD40 is perfectly safe for clear coat, it’s actually recommended for removing residue off the paint. Obviously I wiped it with water after to remove the oily residue though
Wow that’s surprising they came off so easy. Well to other people with 3 year old trucks like mine my tip might help. Yikes I don’t like those eraser wheels, I’ve seen too many people damage the paint and need to correct the spot the badges were in.
Finally debadged the tailgate last night. Here’s a tip for removing the badges: spray WD40 and let it soak for a few minutes, then use a heat gun and the badges peeled off with no effort and the adhesive all peeled off in one single piece, no rubbing required at all. Then to get the residue off...
Haha I didn’t care too much about brightness, I just wanted even coverage and to get rid of most of the shadows. But It definitely got brighter as well! Here’s the ambers tonight 😮💨
I guess we were both wrong. I just looked up the 2002 again and yeah it says 249.7”; and the cclb 5th gen is 241.8” so yeah 8” difference. I got it wrong because I googled 2002 dodge Ram 2500 (instead of 1500) quad cab long bed and I never realized until right now that in 2002 the HD 2500/3500...
According to the measurements online, I stand by what I said. I’m not sure where you pulled 2.6 feet out of? Lol the bed itself is 1’ 8” longer. But the crew cabs on these new trucks are way bigger than the old quad cab
