Well, I thought it was in this forum somewhere, but I can't find it, and I don't know if it's correct. However, on our recent trip to Colorado from Illinois and back, the average fuel economy seemed to change a lot. I never reset it after the trip which was in excess of 2500 miles. When I got...
I read elsewhere that it is the average for the last 300 miles or so, and I would agree. It changes too quickly after say 1000 miles to be the average since the last reset
LOL But I was already warm! I wonder if since it was set to auto, would it realize it screwed up and turn off the heated wheel and seats, and turn on the AC? It didn't do that for the few minutes it baked my **** until I figured out what was happening...
We used to head out to Colorado for Spring skiing, and yeah, the sun was strong enough to bake your face. I'm just surprised that the truck would decide to turn on the heated seats and steering wheel based on the outside temp, and not on the temp inside the cab. Even when we jumped out for a...
Funny thing is that that the average changes quickly even after a lot of miles. So the average MPG is probably not "from the beginning of time" but more likely the average over the last "X" miles.

Added a 10 min YouTube video of parts of Ophir pass to the original post. Lisa, my wife, was handholding her iPhone. I kind of wish I had bought a GoPro for this trip, but how many times can we watch ourselves do this? I suppose if I was an avid YouTuber it would make more sense, but I'm not...
Mine did that this morning. Rain was very heavy and I got the warning beeps and the big BRAKE! on the display. Mine was set to medium with braking enabled. It never hit the brakes though. I wonder if changing from medium to another setting may help?
Thanks!
There is a bar in Ouray that has rooftop seating. It's pretty interesting to watch the vehicles coming through. Mostly Jeeps with winches and big tires. Lots of Razors or whatever they are called on the trails though. They were ripping around having fun but they are open vehicles...
OP here. I am glad to report that our dealer got us out the door before our trip. I checked after a car wash to clean the Colorado dust off and it seems my leak is fixed. I will update if the floor gets wet again. Love this forum! Got some pics of the Colorado trip in the Off road part of...
Funny thing happened when we were up there above the treeline. We would stop here and there to take pictures or a leak. We get back in and start the truck and the heated seats and wheel would start up. Climate is set to auto with heated seats and wheel as well as vented seats set to come on...
I had ordered the Off Road package on the Ram. I was darn sure I was going to use it at least once!
My wife informed me that we were taking a week off.
I did some research.
Results:
We drove to Colorado last week. Left on Aug 23. I am a novice on the four wheeling stuff. Actually, I'm no...
Update:
Since my Aug 10th update, my service writer called on the 12th to tell me that the body shop has to remove part of the cowl where the windshield wipers are and do some sealing there.
I went to the body shop on Tuesday, and they said they think they fixed the leak in the video, but...
You."The rear view camera isn't working"
Them "Please start the truck and dial to reverse. Is the camera working?"
You "No".
Them."OK. can you tell me the tire pressure in the rear passenger tire?"
You "Yes, 38 psi"
Them."OK Thank you........does the oil on the dipstick show full?"
You, on the...
Well, common sense would suggest that the more expensive option would be better, but I wouldn't bet a lot on that. (Ask the guys that the tow mirrors)
It's probably one of those things that you have to see in person.
I could see the added expense if they added a thick coat of clear....
It won't be an issue. They called because they didn't know any better.
Props for them to call if they weren't sure is worth more than the demerits for not knowing.
Tip them well.
