    U connect and Navigation update

I have the 12" screen with Nav. The maps on these trucks is probably two years old. That and the user interface kind of forced me into using my Garmin Nuvi instead of the trucks nav. Others use their smartphones instead of the trucks nav. Gerry

Add Me to the List: Water Leaking

My dealer doesn't have a body shop. They sent it out to a body shop that I think is connected somehow to the Chevy dealer in the area.

Add Me to the List: Water Leaking

They sent it to a body shop that removed the front fender and did some caulking. Hasn't leaked since. Gerry

Add Me to the List: Water Leaking

There was another thread on here that I saw. I noticed the wet carpet after a rain and remembered that thread.

Add Me to the List: Water Leaking

It's hard to believe that they haven't fixed the water leak problem at the factory by now!

What kind of beer and candied bacon produced that result? I need to get some!

Mileage - Cruise vs Adaptive Cruise

Before giving up on ACC, have you tried the three different sensitivities? Maybe using the highest sensitivity will reduce brake use? Gerry

Color me Impressed - My MPG

Regarding the noise at startup: If I start it holding the brake, I get some noise. If I release the brake just after pushing the start button, no noise. Cheers Gerry

Seats comparison, Laramie Longhorn or Limited?

I believe there are adjustments for lumbar support as well as tilt of the lower cushion. Perhaps they were not in the same position on the trucks you looked at, and that was the difference?

    Ambient lights

My wife has a 2019 Grand Cherokee Limited. It's got real nice blue ambient lighting. Wish the Ram had that! Gerry

    Ambient lights

Mine is a Quad Cab. In my back doors I see a slot in the recess above the door handle, like yours, but it looks like an empty slot. I see no other LEDs in the rear doors. At night, there are no ambient lights on behind the front seats, including under the seats except for the usb ports and...

    Anyone here also ride motorcycles?

120,000 miles on the 1998 Harley Ultra Classic in 10 years time. Also have a KZ 1000LTD in the garage. Both have gotten very little use since we got the convertible in my avatar in '07. Cheers, Gerry

    Ambient lights

I'd like to know where all the ambient lights are located. I have slots in the rear doors that look like they are for ambient lights, but it looks like they are empty. No ambient lights at all in the rear doors. Thanks, Gerry

    MDS/VVT

I was wondering about it myself. On mine, it seems the eco light will turn off anytime the instantaneous MPG gets below 20 or so. Almost any acceleration and it's off. I was put in a 2019 Ram Classic 5.7 hemi while my truck was getting some repair, and the eco light would be lit much more...

Joined the cracked windshield club today!

Had mine replaced a week ago. Safelite replaced with OEM glass. Took about a week from first call until replacement. Didn't have to re aim the camera, although they warn you that it may have to be done. Safelite installer said it's rare that it has to be recalibrated. Gerry

    Six-Wheeled Ford Super Duty fail

It almost looks like the load wasn't even on those rear axles. Almost like the front set of rear axles was bearing almost all the weight, while the rear set was barely touching the ground, and thus losing traction. Back to the drawing board... Gerry

    Engine Break In

I can understand that you want the best seal where the rings and cylinder meet. I would think that surface would be optimized in the first few minutes of running the engine. (How many feet do the rings travel in a few minutes) What does heat cycling the rings do? Does it increase the ring...

How to fly a flag from the back of my truck ???

If you do this, then please spend the money for a good stripper. This is not the time for a "do it yourself" project! Cheers Gerry
