How is your truck doing now? Any signs of oil burning or leaking? Did you have the compression checked after this happened?

I carry one in an open container in the bed. It is not the best place to access one since I have to open the bed cover. That will not take long as it's not locked.

I guess I didn't expect to be able to open the tailgate without opening the rear portion of the Diamondback. Why do you think you should be able to open tailgate without opening Diamondback cover?
