I've built a few lithium batteries using used cells ( the one in the picture was for fun, it's not a bomb) and not all of them can give you the discharge needed for a high power amplifier even if it's over 100ah they just have a limited current discharge, those are the ones that catch fire when...
Not all the lithium batteries are the same if you want it to run a big stereo you will need a high discharge rated cells.

It's too hot under the hood for lithium, some manufactures claim their lithium batteries can be installed under the hood but i wouldn't, i have 80ah of lithium but it's behind the back seat where the factory subwoofer used to be, it's tight for most premade batteries but if you use Headway...
You better of with the PAC module and a stand alone DSP, you have better control and better choice of amplification for each channel. You also don't need an overpriced one, the Banda Expert PX2 is a great DSP with everything you need and some.
I had to curt the plastic off that's what took long to cut it right, to mount i used the hardware that came with the light bar, you can see the 2 stainless steel bolts one on each side, the light bar is also curved and it matches the curve of the bumper perfectly. it's been working great for...
Factory subwoofer sucks, well it's ok for some people but if you like heavy bass you need to go aftermarket, the factory one on the Alpine system is also a 3 voice coil subwoofer, first one i ever seen
I don't trust it, i change my oil every 6k miles i don't care what percentage it is, always had problems with my GMC Envoy if i was going by the oil life monitor even using top synthetic oil it always had built up crude clogging the cam timing solenoid.
You are talking about the stock Alpine speakers? They are ok but nowhere near aftermarket ones. get the PAC module an aftermarket amplifier a small sub and you will be happier
Get the module, it's pricey i know but it's worth it, you could wire some LOC on the speaker outputs but you have no other control over the frequencies of each speaker.
It all depends on what you really want to achieve, without a separate amplifier the best way would be to wire the tweeters in parallel with the dash 3.5, that would require run new wires to the front doors and place the tweeter on the top of door panels just like this
I had no fitment problems with my Type S besides the tips were not easy to adjust, i like them to stick out a bit and they were actually inside the bumper if you slide the pipe connections all the way in, my other issue was the cold start was way too loud for the neighborhood i live in, i like...
I upgraded to the 22's from the 18's and there is a difference in ride, but it's a pickup truck not a limousine and i like to have a feel of the surface i'm driving on, the oem tires are very soft and grip great in most surfaces even on dirt but not the greatest in the rain they hydroplane very...
Mine is somewhat loud outside and very loud inside, everything rattles when i turn up the volume 🤣.
Now seriously, i find this truck very quiet inside the cab compared to others i drove.
No i had the Flowmaster FlowFx first and a cheap Ebay turbine one, they all have a little drone to them but it's very little, i ended up getting the Borla S type catback, i still have the other systems I'll end up selling as soon as i have the time.
With the engine running it should be 14.3 to 14.5 volts, mine is, i have a 80 ah of lithium cells behind the back seat for the sound system, since it rests 1 volt higher than the factory battery (SLD) it gets isolated from the front battery when i shut of the ignition, i don't know how the...
I started by building a single since it was a simple build then i started working on a dual, my truck is a quad cab so it doesn't have as much leg room in the back as the crew cab but it came out nice , i was able to fit 2 1500 watts 10" subs in it.
I wouldn't bother replacing the factory speakers unless you are planing on using an aftermarket amplifier, the OEM are very efficient speakers and even the 6x9 in the doors have really good bass.
For does who want to integrate a factory subwoofer on the standard sound system i was able to rewire it to be used with a aftermarket amplifier, since it is very close to a 10" triple 2 ohm voice coil it can only be wired to a 6 ohm or 0.6 ohm load, some class D amplifiers are ok running at .6...
