Happened to by brother, he bought a Ford Maverick, the window sticker pre-delivery was $31,000, but it was raised to $34,000 later as it was being delivered.
What was awesome is the dealership kept to the agree upon price and charged him $31,000. What's crazy is, he put no money down on the...
I want to do spacers, but prefer lengthening my studs and avoiding the spacers that bolt to the hub first. Mainly because I don't want to remove my wheels to re-torque the spacers, rather do the it in one go.
I'm assuming I can simply use the bolt to hub spacers if I can remove the wheel studs...
That's an interesting question, never heard of underhood diagonals term used on modern vehicles, mostly older vintage cars. Though I think they are similar to strut braces, which I've never seen on these trucks.
If you have to straighten up the frame, you may need to check with your local...
I do a Blackstone oil analysis every oil change, which is once a year or 5000 mi, the stock little filter shows excellent filtration results.
But before you switch to the stock one again, did you use two bags?
ideally you want to use at least a half gal to 1 gal bag size, use one to get most...
Better with a high definition dash cam than risk a high speed run to get the number, then you bring a liability to yourself. No embarrassment for a full size truck stopping at just over 100 mph, physics becomes an issue with big trucks at higher speeds.
Good options in this thread, saving this thread for later, I'll probably need a battery soon, mine is at least 6 years old now, I drive probably once a week, so far it's doing well, mainly because I do a full charge with a smart charger every couple of months.
Nice tech tip and info.
Considering some companies are offering Uconnect 5 12" upgrades for $3,200, going with a 14" doesn't seem too bad. I want to do a screen upgrade soon, my 8.4" is delaminating and rather just replace with a bigger screen than deal with the dealer for another 8.4" that...
100% agree, reason why I traded in my F150 for a RAM 5 years ago. Even more mismanaged is the Dodge Charger / Challenger, they brought out the EV version first which none of them would want, they give it a bunch of drag racing gimmicks, yet it's slower than the competition while costing more...
Ford's best selling trucks are V6s, though I agree for RAM's historic customers prefer a V8, I included. If both GM & Ford can manage to keep a V8 available, while pushing smaller engines, I would think Stellantis can as well.
The other issue is production and price management and dealership...
Rebels get bad gas mileage, it's the nature of trim.
Stellantis EPA mpg rating is blanket stated across all trim lines, the higher mpg you have seen documented was probably from street tired 1500s, Rebels with their 33" ATs will never match.
Unless you hypermile, you won't come close to the...
I think that can be changed, there is setting with a circuit breaker that turns off the 12V power supply with the ignition, mine was set to that by default.
I've been happy with my Duratracs, but they got a reputation for sure. Probably because they are OEM on so many vehicles, including the Trail Boss Silverado, Canyon, Defender, etc. for example along with a score of other various SUVs and trucks, so lots of opinions to go around. They are kind...
Typically, I've seen stock 18" Rebel wheels that have worn tires will sell at the $350 range (black & silver) or up to $500 in all black. If they have fresh tires, you can add $300 or so to that, and honestly a bargain when you consider how much new Duratracs go for.
I think the folks that try...
Sounds like your blend door is having issues, especially with multiple clicking sounds.
In 4th gen, it's easy to change out, not sure in the 5th gen.
How long since the battery was disconnected? Often it does take several hours to overnight for everything to come back online after a battery...
That sucks man, I've been complaining about the Stellantis dealership network for a while, they are just not up to the task at least a lot of them aren't.
Compared to so many other manufacturer dealership networks I've been through, Stellantis seems to be by far the slowest to react and...
I had an issue, it's garbage and my fix was to get a good cell phone and use Google maps.
I will pull out a sextant and use the stars and sun like seafarers of old to navigate before I use the OEM Nav again.
Check the circuit breaker box in the engine bay, open it up and make sure all the bolts are tight and that none of them are missing. If it's just loose, it could give you intermittent issues. Check out this thread below...
Dealership lifetime essentially means 100K, or about as far as most extended warranties will support the powertain. Longevity of your transmission after warranty is something they don't care about, it works against their interest.
I would follow ZFs recommendations, I think it's 50K-75K or so...
