^ start there has all the information you need.
Yea you would need a new fuel pump for a 26/33 tank
33g was available with both the 5”7 bed and 6”4

This isn’t the infamous Triton V8 w/ the spark plug issues. A swivel and small extension is all you need, you’re not going to break a spark plug unless you’re a cave man. I think you guys gotta go wrench sometimes and stop psyching yourself out thinking you’re going to do something wrong. Also...
Yep that’s around what I had into it. Get a parts list and research the best prices. Buy some things on Ebay. I used moparpartsoverstock.com I think they had the best prices and cheapest shipping at that time. Bring your part #s and run down to your local Ram dealer and get a quote. Larger item...
Probably gonna be awhile before you find anybody that has done it since you have a few things going against you.
-2025 still being so new most probably aren’t wrenching on their own truck just yet.
-You need software to adjust fuel tank size.. most of us 19-24 guys use AlfaOBD which I don’t...
Is that a picture you’ve taken of your truck? Have you verified you don’t already have the 33g tank?
Thats the 3rd member crossmember for the longer skid plate

If you get the longer skid plate just get the additional skid plate crossmember (even this isn’t necessary) I’m also currently running without it and have been for 20k issue miles.. tanks still there and mounted as stout as ever.
The third tank strap isn’t necessary either and just adds more...
^ thats the third tank strap mount. Some trucks have them there already, some don’t. Thats if you wanna run the 3rd tank fuel strap with the larger 33g tank. My truck didn’t have it but you can make get creative and make one or there’s use to be a member that had a friend that made some but...
Sorry long paragraphs and it’s late. Correct, I bought the first used pump off Ebay when I was starting to gather parts.. coming from a salvage yard obvious information on the vehicle was limited.. I wanna say a ran the vin to get the build sheet and just like I later found out on my build sheet...
Im pretty sure he was smart and paid the additional few hundred bucks more and had it ordered with the 33 from the factory

Don’t be like me.. and think that whole 50k miles I put on at the time since new, I had a 23 gallon tank. Turns out from what I gather way down the line after everything at least on my Laramie I had the 26 gallon standard (not listed on the window sticker btw), cost me an additional two fuel...
I’m sure prices have changed since I did the swap. The only big money cost item is really the fuel pump. New was around $550-600 for OEM for a 26/33 gallon pump but if you have a 26 gallon tank already avoid that cost thankfully. Oh and expect to pay freight on shipping for said tank unless you...
Warranties I get how it’s appealing to a lot of people and keeps a lot of people rotating vehicles every few years to keep one.
I had a talk with my dad about this.. he had a BMW 740I w/ a warranty. Seemed like every few months when I come back in town from work during downtime damn BMW was...
Thats 26 compared to a 33.. you can look for the 3rd strap indention (arrowed) to help you determine which size you have. That part# for some reason didn’t help lol. I wanna say that shield on the size is the same for both (I swapped mine from 26 to 33 without an issue) so you can look at how...
Did you purchase new or used?
If used.. it could have been swapped to the bigger tank.. its been a few years since I did the swap but I remembered the size of the tank being marked on the tank itself but I dont remember if it would have been viewable once installed.

5 additional gallons of gas I believe is around what they usually come off the transport truck with sometimes even less depending on if its been running or transported further.
You can get underneath the truck and take a good picture of the tank. The difference between the three tank sizes is...
