Seems like they've done nothing to improve the rear window assembly.
I ended up not going to my appointment today for this issue. I'm going to keep an eye on it and run it for another year hoping they improve the rear window assembly. If not, I'll trade mine in on a new Ford F250 which was my...
This an old thread I read when it first got posted when I was experiencing the same thing. I automatically thought this was my issue. It didn't do it all the time, so didn't bother taking it in to the dealer to get the run around. I had the dealer install these running boards as part of the sale...
In the beginning of this thread you can also see the taper in the cracked frames. When I have it in will get them to check the clunk noise going over little bumps too. I got me a real nice clunker. LOL
Just checked mine and I have 1 crack in the frame, December 2018 build. I don't have any leaks. In a way I'd rather the truck get swallowed by the ocean than deal with any of the service departments in my area.
I'm not getting it either, but a simple Google search shows how common it is. Is it a gimmick, I doubt it with our technology today. At this time my key fob is still sitting on the kitchen counter and my wife thinks I'm crazy. She said you don't have to worry about that where we live. LOL...
Honestly, I really don't know and I thought the same thing as you. I didn't realize some kind of transmitter could do such a thing until I read about it.
I'm not worried about getting the lug nuts off, that's the easy part. The problem is damaging and stretching the threads on the wheel studs. I have a small Makita 1/2 inch compact impact that doesn't usually break a sweat taking lug nuts off, even at the 130 ft lbs of torque. I have the bigger...
There's times you think they rotated your tires, but they never did. The oil at that price isn't full synthetic, I can do my own at that price using full synthetic. My issue with having the dealer do the oil changes and tire rotations is they have the lowest tier mechanic, more like a lube...
I'm installing a dash cam that will be hard wired to the fuse box for parking mode. At first I thought, I can't kill all the power, because I won't be able to use the parking mode. Installing the kill switch to the fuse for the fuel pump to cut the fuel off would work the best for me. That way I...
Wrapping key fob in tin foil definitely works. I just tried it from about 20 feet from my truck where I usually use the remote start feature and unlock it right before heading out the door.
I guess the best test for this is trying to unlock your vehicle with the key fob from the center of the house. Those RFID bags aren't expensive and I'm definitely getting a couple. I read somewhere wrapping the key fob in tin foil does the same thing. Going to try it out.
I did some research last night on car theft with keyless entry and keyless start/stop on vehicles. If you leave your key fobs laying out on your kitchen counter like I do, a car thief can use a transmitter to catch the signal of the key fob to clone it and just drive off with your vehicle. I...
Have you ever had a vehicle stolen? It's easy to enjoy until you do. You still need to make the payments on the stolen vehicle and hopefully you have a second vehicle to get back and forth to work.
I personally think all criminals should be shot, but of course, that's against the law. LOL
This is how I do mine. I have a paved driveway, but I always do my work where I extended my driveway with stone.
I forget the actual size, but cut 2 sheets of 1/2 inch plywood, used 1/2 inch because of lightweight and only use them for the ramps. 2 sheets of rubber on top of the plywood. I...
