Thanks HemiDude! There was a bubble in the "5" of the 1500. The dealer called me yesterday and said the part came in. He let me pick it up and replace it myself as long as I return the old one to him. It was much easier to put those small letter decals on in my lap than reaching over the hood...

I will say that coming from a 2020 Cherokee with auto start stop, which I always turned off because it bothered me so much, that I have to look at the tachometer to see that it's working. Auto start stop is so much better in this new RAM.

My 2023 is doing the same. Hopefully it's normal.

They are going to cover the repair. It took a while to convince him that it happened at his shop. I didn't notice it until I got home. Usually it takes a couple months to get your first scratch. This one took a couple hours. Damn. It is fantastic truck though and yes, it was worth the 5 month...

Well, I got mine home today, but not without incident. 🤨 I drove it from the dealer straight to the tonneau cover place to get my Xtang-Xceed installed. They backed my truck in then raked my grill with the garage door!! 🤬

I think it's just part of the post COVID madness right now. I work for GM and guys at work are having the same issues. Waiting forever on special orders, getting vehicles without options they ordered like heated seats and steering wheel was a big one. But showing off my new Ram to my coworkers...

Oops, just looking at your build sheet and see you don't have Ramboxes. The Xceed won't work for your truck but they have others that will.

I don't have any experience with it yet because like you, I'm waiting for my truck to be delivered. However, I've made up my mind to buy the Xceed by Extang. It's a hard tri-fold that fits the Rams with the Ramboxes and MFT tailgate. https://extang.com/xceed
