So how many of you have renewed Uconnect?

Original intent was 5yrs free then there'd be a fee...only recently Ford decided to make app free for life. Either way tho heres hoping Ram follows suit

    Tire shine applicator..???

U can find articles to support anything u want on the internet lol. In fact the next google search article after yours says most important thing is that u wash the tire's dressing off frequently...no matter what u use. Another states how modern aerosols & EPA restrictions have virtually...

    Tire shine applicator..???

I actually never noticed it with the spray I use. And my prev Rebel tires had ~35k on them with no noticeable dmg

    Tire shine applicator..???

Tried gels a long time, numerous brands... Always took too much time/effort to keep from streaking showing wipe marks. Now I use [below] w/no regrets whatsoever. The spray is super easy/quick & the shine is always uniform w/no streaks-marks. Overspray comes right off whenever u wash. I...

    Skip e-torque?

edit: what ^silver billet^ said Imo dont really consider the 1st a benefit, just an attribute. 2and & 3rd dont overcome the failure of the last point (no real mpg benefit)

    Desert Dawg Ram Rebel Build

You've prob done ur research into offroad campers but Ive dabbled a bit in the past and found these that were pretty interesting (if a bit $$$) https://www.blackseriescamper.com/

    Cloth Seat Stain Resistance?

I always used Scotchguard on my cloth seats. My wife uses it on just about everything cloth & it works really well to protect and everything comes out

    Bilstein installation

You wouldnt need it as the Bilstein units are the complete coil-over assy. It's just a "simple" swap

    add memory seats and mirrors?

Imo i think itd be too hard to incorporate the Limited/Longhorn memory aspects as they're not fully contained units. As in they have peripheral buttons that have to be wired/mounted & then all programmed into the vehicles computer. Ex. the seats have automatic exit & memory positions when...

    Bilstein installation

Heres one of the more detailed that I found when I was looking into a level kit. It includes disassembling the coil-over unit itself, whereas you'll simply be replacing it with the Bilstein units. Also, many more vids on youtube of peeps using nothing but hand tools so u can DIY no prob Ram...

What did you do to your Ram today???

Just an FYI for anyone unsure, it does not auto-calibrate. Stealership can do it for like ~$150ish or u can DIY w/ programmers

    Is air suspension worth it?

I thot that too until my prev. Rebel air susp. cost me ~10 trips to 2 different dealerships; several smelly rental vehicles, etc. to finally solve the problem. So I sold it & opted my new Ram w/o it just strictly from the headaches & life disrupting aggravation alone. But again not talking...

What do you think about the new F150?

Still, comparing a Twin-Turbocharged V6 to a natural aspirated V8 is comparing apples to oranges. And it being "better" is a matter of perspective. if Ram offered a twin-turbo'd V6 or the Hemi V8...I'd take the Hemi. I steer clear of the turbos and inherent issues/probs that can plague them

What do you think about the new F150?

 Do u mean the Rams Pentastar V6?? Or are u really comparing a V6 to a V8...

So how many of you have renewed Uconnect?

Not true, its the exact opposite. Very few (Ford only recently) offer the uconnect type services for free. And Im not trying to sway anyone one way or another but sounds like u just need to start it with the app earlier. I'll start mine 3mins or so before end of shift and plop down in...

    Skip e-torque?

That's good to hear. Just wish theyd made it a true hybrid electric system. It feels too gimmicky when it doesnt even substantially improve mpg

So how many of you have renewed Uconnect?

I renewed mine. I consider it a quality of life thing when I use the app (sometimes alexa) at least twice a day to start truck ahead of getting in on a hot/cold day. Yes ima lazy bastard. Also use send'n go for waypoints/ directions when traveling (accompanied by maps)
  19. Stevenc150

    Skip e-torque?

I skipped it myself. I understand the warranty aspect but it doesnt cover the headaches, schedule impacts, and overall dealership PITA. Aside from that it's only really advantageous for stop/go scenarios, which I do very little of

What does everyone do for a living?

Started work life as a Tool/Die maker/Machinist (10yrs) at a tier3 automotive supplier. Then a hybrid Stamping/machine Engineer (6yrs) at a Toyota tier2 Supplier. Involved some Mitsubishi PLC programming & turn-key installs And now returned back to initial Tier3 Supplier but in the Eng. Dept...
