Recruiter told me I could be a boom operator when I first joined. Didn't see a career outside of the military with that job so I elected to be a crew chief. Sometimes wish I would have given the boom operator job a shot.

Glad I came across this thread. I thought I was going nuts and just hearing weird noises. Hope there is a fix soon. Is there a thread that addresses all of the fixes for the random issues people have had with their trucks.

They do sound better than the stock, but sitting up front you can't hear them.

I swapped the headliner speakers out with the Infinity's (see signature). Had to do some modifications in order to get them to mount in the opening. Covers where hard to get off but they came off and didn't break.

So just got done installing the 3.5" Infinitys in the roof. Had to pull out the Dremel and saws all to make them fit but they are in. The factory speakers that were installed are the same as what is in the dash. It was a pain getting the covers off. Thought for sure I was going to break them...

I just installed those infinity's in my front doors and have no issues other than the window hitting the speaker wire. I mounted mine with the window down to ensure there was clearance. When I open the door back up to swap out the 3.5's I will fix the speaker wire issue and look to see if...

I ran my power wire inside my front drivers door and tapped into the puddle light wire. That way the lights only come on when I open the doors. Sometimes the lights flicker when I open the doors (not all the time) so I need to investigate that.
