Rebel 12, zero issues. Love it. Start my car with it at lunch from either the app or webpage almost every day. Send addresses to it without issue.
edit, also worked fine before i was listed as 'owner' on webpage
I'm going to double-down on the wife's good will and parlay the debacle into a Powerwagon after we buy our trailer. I'll get a black one with the 12" and it will take her 3 months before she realizes what happened.
there is no justifying it. they took away safety features from a situation that needs safety feature the most. it is stupid. full stop.
this thread is for ridiculing people who "should have known" and for patting ourselves on the back for "due diligence"...ie...getting lucky and stumbling...
I had to call and then get no call back and eventually visit. They didn't budge off the sticker -$9k dealer -incentives (that I did not qualify for).
Price was listed on their website.
It should probably be pointed out that I am also a terrible negotiator, but there were also maybe 4 Rebel...
Bought mine in Gilroy. "Drive a little, save a lot" blah blah blah ;)
Was true in my case though. Was shopping for a Rebel 12 and nobody in the area that had one was budging from their internet price -incentives. Gilroy's dealer discount was $9k, lowest online I found by a decent margin...

I would like to lift my Rebel a little, mainly for the look, but do not understand suspension enough to just search and get my answer, so I will hijack and ask. :)
I'd likely keep the factory 33s on, but if I wanted to go up a couple inches anyway, what is the best method to ensure I
Do not...
did mine this past weekend at ~1100 miles. no more then 5 3/4 quarts of oil came out. looked decent though. was tempted to toss it in the lawn mower
1100 miles, so did first oil change today. 7 qts of PUP, an M1-113A filter and installed a Fumoto plug. Little safety cap didn't want to get on there, but its not going anywhere.
Also added locking lugs and replaced oem lugs with black. lol, First oil change for me in many years. Took me...
Yeah, that is fine, valid points.
If I had anything near to the feeling that my dealership valued my business, I'd probably feel otherwise....but I don't. They simply have the best prices and push the most volume in the area. I knew that going in but still expected a little better service...
When you go to the carsdirect site and use their little build tool, the aluminum spare is indeed part of the eTorque package. Maybe it is the reason for the price increase. The main thing that I learned shopping for my Rebel is that none of the option choices make complete sense. A kid armed...
