Maybe.. most cases I've seen people have made their own setup by tapping into cargo light wire or trailer power. Should work if you do it how you say, may run an inline fuse for the extra lights so it'll blow if something happens before it gets to truck harness.
Try this, found this problem after dealer couldn't figure out why they wouldn't activate

Waiting on those too, have an order in. When we got our truck at the beginning of the month they told us Nov 1st, they seemed sure about it, we'll see how true that is. Everything has been a big waiting game parts wise so I'm not holding my breath.
Been a great truck so far, my wife and I love it, most comfortable thing we've had. Only real issue with approx 800 miles is the body mount clunk which I think I'll attempt a fix this weekend. Only other problem I have found is with MOPAR's instructions for the bed light kit, which I posted a...
It's been very common on waiting for parts. I would think they've got to start seeing some stock availability at sometime, soon hopefully. Will they even put in an order to show that they need one? Would think once they do that FCA can pull one off the line or from manufacturer and ship. They...
Problem is they won't be able to do anything until it acts up and they can duplicate or they order a recall when they find they cause and affected unit numbers. I have the same reservations about it, it's the wife's daily driver and we have a young one too. Hopefully a fix is out by the time we...
@19RamLimited Makes sense to me, may actually end up doing that with ours cause it's such a headache dealing with service dept. Said you went a few pounds more on torque on reinstall right?
Yes, what @Agitated said. I started a thread with the install tips for these instructions. You dont need a lift, I did mine in the driveway on a creeper the night we brought the truck home. Hardest part is taking wheel liners in and out but it can all be done without taking wheels off.
Yes that is the case number, make the dealer aware of it at least because that is an "official fix" they have verified, and try to take it when it is making noise. We had ours in Monday and it didn't do it so they couldn't do anything. Consensus seems to be that cooler weather is making it less...
Yes, for whatever reason the electric assist cars are near impossible if not working. Found this out when I was driving rollback towing. Even small cars with little weight take two men and a half to horse around
In dollars I would say, there's no way they have that much in it, also has a parts amount of zero and total next to it which makes me think this. @alacombe hard to blame you, it's disheartening to be having multiple issues, especially this one.
This is for an older model and different computer circuit, but a code is a code so that's what it should mean. RBRK is right it's an electronic power steering module, so it's the go between for everything in that circuit. So according to code definition there's a voltage spike in the system...
Hi all, been floating around here for a week or so and somehow never noticed the intro threads, oops. Anyway, from eastern Ohio and have had the truck since Oct 6.
Backing out of our driveway the slope up to the road always gets it. Overly sensitive. Thought I saw an option in the uconnect to change sensitivity but I hadn't tried that to see if it changes.

Good news! Yeah I thought the same thing it needs to be revised cause that's a major oops on their part they're putting out to the public with these kits, or even the dealer for that matter if they dont catch it. Tech I talked to sounded like it's not uncommon in their instructions at dealer.
Just tried it, doesn't do it bed lights work normally. Pins in right location? I ran into the issue of instructions being wrong but they just didn't work period
