If you get the mopar ones there is a Uconnect button to deploy. If you get the AMP, there is an optional switch to deploy. I’ve been running around off-road through dirt and mud all weekend and the AMP steps are clean.
The air suspension is the same for all air ride vehicles, as I understand it. All that changes is whether you have 4 or 5 settings. In your truck, normal is the same ish as an off-road or Rebel in aero mode. Point being, you can raise your truck just as much as anyone else with air using links...
The biggest difference is going to be your bumper. Limited hugs the tires more.
Do you have off-road 1 and 2? If so, you’ll have to lift it more with the links than a Rebel, and I’d assume your off-road 2 wouldn’t work.
That’s awesome! Have you been driving it long enough to know how your mpg changed? If it were me, I’d be hitting the throttle hard, so it might be hard to tell! How does the warranty work? Cover the engine if you keep the tune mild?
You have some entertaining work ahead of you (at least I enjoyed it). 35’s are easy if you don’t stick the rims way out. Here’s my build thread where I stuffed 37s using the same setup you’re talking about. Pretty much step by step:
The Journey Toward a Bigger Rebel (Suspension Section)
I’d...
Eric and Rick: correcto, this is a 2” (as measured at the fender) level on an air ride Rebel. For height purposes, it should be equivalent to a coil truck, since this happens in normal mode. Also should be equivalent to a non-rebel off-road group truck with a 3” level as far as I understand it...
It’s not the Rebel, it’s any vehicle that you drive off the lot then decide to sell that year. If you might change your mind, do a lease or buy a used vehicle.
