It’s interesting- link didn’t work but you can just select it on the left from the drop down menu. They have a specific 2019 air ride Rebel kit, but the pics don’t look like a Rebel. Look more like a black package. If it’s really a 4” lift up front (looks like it is), that’s awesome. Plenty of...
Haven’t seen that system on here, but there’s at least one guy with this installed: https://www.lmperformance.com/1041583/520019-qtp-dodge-ram-1500-screamer-aggressor-qtec-electronic-cutouts.html
Personally, if I were to go with a cutout setup, I’d want the quiet option to be stock quiet. Not...
Was the old issue specific to sst or just the height? No issues in 4high or low for me and I’ve used it a decent amount up to probably 30mph- it’s a Rebel so it’s not the auto setup.
Waaaaay better with the 2019- good for you! It’s the headlights that I don’t like about the last gen. They look droopy or sad or something.
Also, yes I think it’s pretty sweet that all of the first gen rebels are air ride, much easier to throw stuff in the bed
Keep in mind: increase from 31” to 34” and “mpg” goes from 20 to 18... you’re actually the same efficiency. Without reprogramming, you’re going 1.1miles every time the truck measures one mile.
Also, most people will be more foot heavy on new rubber. It’s difficult to fight.
You can probably do it with a 6” BdS or RC and some fender trimming if you ain’t skeered. Need to keep the offset as close to zero as possible to minimize scrub. Biggest I’ve seen on here with functioning air ride is 37”
I don’t have the full safety features, but this is what I’ve seen. 4.5” up in front and 2.5” up in rear (total including tires). Blind spot sensors work the same as before. The front and rear parking sensors work fine but don’t seem to notice curb-height things as much. This is a good thing for...
These are husky flaps and I had to modify the fronts due to clearance. There’s a thread floating around. Tough to find any pics where you can see the black vs black vs shadow
Thanks, Captain! Have modified the rear of the front wheel wells, but the fronts of the wells are fine. Ram did a great job of keeping any heavy metal away from the tires. I’m slowly trimming the husky mud flaps as the touch the tread.
Took the Rebel to the ranch for the first time after all of the mods. Drove great down the highway too for about 1000miles this week. It’s a little rough on big rocks and such, but not much more than the factory air suspension. The bigger tires make the trails much easier- 2wd for most of the...
If you are mostly highway, you definitely do not want 4.11s- 3.92s will already be making your engine turn ~10% faster for the same speed after going to 35s.
This question pops up occasionally and I think the answer is normally that the front gears are hard to find. Hopefully that has changed...
Get a p938 and stick it in the file folder thing on the side of the console. Fits perfectly. Bought a magnetic mount like I had in my jeep, but there’s not really a good spot for one that I found.
The fix is.... tightening the nuts above the shocks and securing the sensor with a rubber band. I don’t think there is interference anymore now that I finished the install shop’s job. I bought another one through the dealer for $70, which now rides in my RamBox just in case. Took about a...
Update: husky flaps are on all 4 corners!
Rear: Super easy! I’d recommend using a drill and provided screw on the interior edge.
Front: definitely required modification! Put them on and tried to heat gun bend it back. Didn’t work. Went 200yds and that’s all the rub.
I then decided to chop...
