None of the tire shops I went to knew either. I figured it out myself from research, trial and error. This is the autel device I used to read / program / and figure things out. This allowed me to pull the IDs from the ecu that the vehicle was looking for and program those IDs to new sensors. You...
I used Jscan $20 for license, a $20 bluetooth obd2 adaptor, and a $15 security bypass cable. I can add to the conversation here that after adding bigger tires it is essential to update the ecu with the correct size. I actually programmed mine a few times (can adjust by 0.25” increments in the...
Just to add to the discussion, from my findings with FCA tpms, even having the correct frequency wont always work. I went thru this on my 2018 jeep. Its the ID number assigned to each tpms that matters. If the ID number is outside of the range programmed into the ecu then the vehicle wont pick...
Ive used oem sensors and autel sensors with their programmer with 100% success. The only (maybe) way to test would be to put them in the wheel wells and leave the ignition on for like 15 minutes but not sure if that will work. Usually if they work the ram will pick them up within a few minutes...
For the record, in my opinion, U connect 4 is much better than U connect 5. Keeping 4 was part of the reason I bought and kept my 19. Also Go-Ram is spot on about the battery voltage issues. When the oem battery went south in mine at 37k all sorts of weird electrical issues happened. New AGM...
So a little update, I bought a new mopar IAT sensor to try but my rough starts cleared up again. My educated guess here is a bad tank and/or too “hot” of gas. I usually always run 89 octane gas with 10% ethanol but my station was out so I filled up with 90 octane rec fuel (marine/ethanol free)...
Just an update, ive been turning on the ignition and letting it sit until the dash lights clear , then starting it and its never rough started doing that. It’s almost like the tune needs a few second delay before cranking.
OK well I started it again this morning, but this time I turn the ignition on and let it sit until all the dash lights cleared, then started it, and it started perfect. It seems to do it when you just jump in hit the brake and start it immediately. Going to try this method for another couple...
Well its been starting perfect up until this morning, it happened again out of the blue, real rough start, didnt sound happy. It runs fine otherwise. Going to try turning the ignition on and letting the dash lights clear before starting it tomorrow morning and see if that helps.
Just put the battery cables back on and turned the ignition on for a minute then hit the start and it started absolutely perfect. I would try this before taking it to the dealer. All computers need a good power cycle/ reboot now and again.
Well mine cleared up after that towing trip I had at 12k miles. Now I have 51k and it started rough starting again after towing a camper. Mine seems to happen when something drastically changes what the ecu is used to. Like daily driving for months then loading it up with gear and a 6k lb...
This is my clean install of a push type marine switch in that panel for aux lighting. I planned on putting two there but only one would fit due to the design behind the panel.
Looking for them here too. One benefit is you can put the shackle around the strap loop, then put the shackle on the truck. With the current loops you have to thread the strap around and into the loop and it can get really tight during recovery efforts.
I meant 3500, not 3500k lol. Sorry it was a late post. It still tuns fine but I notice fuel milage and performance going down. Fresh full syn and it goes back up. Trucks are expensive, oil isnt, so 3-4k is all I go before dumping it and its dark when I do.
