Black Badging - How to ?

I've read several times in this thread that the new front grill letters have tabs and adhesive. Should I be worried that mine done seem to have any adhesive on them?

Black Badging - How to ?

Did you get touch-up paint from the dealer for the exact match? does it come in aerosol?

Black Badging - How to ?

Clips and adhesive. I used heat gun to get the adhesive soft, then a little fishing line to make some room for a plastic pry tool. Then eventually ripped it off. The remaining adhesive comes off pretty easy compared to any other badging adhesive.

    Shoutout to Carven

How was taking the old one off? pretty similar to this 1:10 mark? I took a peek under the truck yesterday and noticed a slightly different type of tab on the connector clamp

did you put the new letters on yet? I have not done mine yet. I would imagine you cant lose the metal lock washer or whatever it is that is on the letters that are being pulled off, it seems like that is what holds them in place.

    Laramie Sport Hood emblems

what was your experience with the laramie badge? Mine is really on there tight. Fishing line doubled and tripled up still snapping with using a heat gun. I will try a trim tool in the spring when it warms up.

Blacked out emblems, going for a crome and black look.

was having the same exact problem with the Laramie badge, finally gave up as I didn't know what was under there. I doubled up the fishing line with a heat gun as well. masking tape around edges for what? prevent scratching? any particular pry tool? Thanks
