Great question. I discovered it this summer before installing new speakers. If I had the volume cranked up around 30, even listening to the radio, the moment I plug in my iphone the overall volume would turn down. It seems like plugging in turns on some kind of volume limiter. This happens when...
I opted for a truck with the 8.4" screen. I immediately regretted it in the day or so after purchase. However, once I drove it more I realized that I really do like the 8.4" screen and don't miss having a 12" at all. I do like having the knobs and buttons available. I hate searching menus for...
A buddy and I just drove to Lambeau Field a few weeks ago. He hopped into my truck and instantly said, "What do you think of that knob?" I told him that it's now been six years without a lever and it's not even a thought in my consciousness.
Have I reached for the shifter knob and accidentally...
Many folks are clueless in parking lots, scraping other cars without even knowing. Most vehicles driven by 80+yr olds have numerous scrape marks. Then again, same with many teenagers and people of all ages who generally are not spatially aware of their surroundings. Not everyone is a jerk...
Agreed, except the first thing I did was fill in a letter. Once I realized that the outlines looked better it was too late.
It looks pretty slick from a few paces away and probably has a nice blue streak when rolling down the road.
Some friendly advice. Keep hammering that throttle even after the break-in procedure. These engines are more prone to cam & lifter failure due to a lack of oil spray at low RPMs. The dealer warned me that I drove my 2015 too gingerly and that I need to get on the gas more often to keep the oil...
Congrats from another longtime Ford guy. I'm now on my second Ram and haven't looked back.
Unless you hit the "Off" button, it will still affect the auto stop. I don't think that it has as much to do with A/C and heat per se. If I remember the manual, the truck will keep running if the cabin...
I took someone else's idea and painted my tires. Since the "etorque" badge on the hood is blue, I went with blue tire paint.
I love the look, but this was a big pain to do. I had to pull the tires off in order to paint them on a table. Also, the words on my tire are recessed with rubber...
Older post/question, but just in case Desert Dawg's answer wasn't what you were looking for.... There are lots of great ways to keep a chain sharp. I've got 8 acres of coniferous forest so I am constantly cutting down trees. They grow like crazy. Even if you aren't very handy, try out the Stihl...
Yup, I've hauled my 4 wheeler several times in the bed of my truck, with the rear tires on the tailgate. The one time it blew the cylinder and I was alone, I did what Doberman11 mentioned. I ran a ratchet strap between the front bed tiedowns. I then ran the ATV winch rope to the ratchet strap...
I have an older (10+ years) VeePeak but see that for JScan I'll need something newer. The Veepeak OBDCheck BLE+ on some websites says that it sucks with IOS. Does anyone have any recommendations for OBD adapters that work well with IOS?
I've got a 2021 Bighorn without LED lights. I really have never liked the look of yellow turn signal lights. I liked that my 2015 had red flashers in the rear. Has anyone swapped out the yellow bulbs for red? If so, what did you go with and do you like how it turned out?
I fixed the 3rd brake light on my 2015. When I went to do it on my 2021 RAM, the weather-stripping looked exactly as I would want it to look. So without doing any work, I closed it up.
It's lasted half of a Minnesota winter and an entire Minnesota summer without any leaks.
Nope, not much idling but I tend not to drive hard. After the cam & lifter failure the dealer did tell me to drive it harder. So I do try to jump on the gas a little more without being a jackarse to those around me.
