I miss my old truck with the bench seat and the dual stick shifts. Nothing better than having a lady sit in the middle and having to jam it down into 4th gear. On the other hand, nothing worse than shifting gears with your buddy sitting in that middle seat....
I'll add in that I never changed the mode of my Pedal Commander. It stayed in -4 Eco mode all of the time. It can malfunction (sudden acceleration) even when you follow the instructions. That's my anecdotal evidence.
I used a Pedal Commander for about 1yr. I actually used it to increase lag since I don't need it to jump off of the line. I wanted better fuel economy. It worked well for that.
Fast forward to early this winter and I hit a normal manhole cover in the street. The truck went haywire and started...
I have not dealt with Stellantis specifically, but I did get Ford to buy back a truck about 15yrs ago. I dealt with similar issues that could not get resolved. I documented everything - every dealer visit, every conversation, every phone call, and every letter. It built a nice case.
I never...
The original battery in my 2021 is on its fourth Minnesota winter. The stock battery in my 2015 Ram only lasted four winters before needing to be replaced. I'm likely close to needing a replacement.
There is an Interstate Battery distribution center near my house with a tiny retail store on the...
I hit a tiny pothole this morning - 90% sure it was just a regular closed manhole - while driving in the snow with truck in 4-Auto. All of a sudden the ESC error message popped on the dashboard, traction control went off, and the truck started accelerating on its own. I was only a mile from my...
I never thought of using 4x4 just in case so that the front wheels were involved.
On 95% of the ramps that I launch from, my rear tires aren't in the water. There is one lake with heavy milfoil that causes the steep ramp to be slippery. That's one of the few times outside of winter when I'm...
I suspect that Ram, like most other manufacturers, specifically sourced a one-piece unit so that instead of replacing a cheap fan they can get $3,600 out of a customer instead.
I looked it up. Originally I had some by Orion but then switched to the McGard black set. Those McGard ones are good.
I even bought a set of McGard lugs to replace the rusted ones on my snowmobile trailer. So far so good.
I have the black out package on my 2021. I thought it was odd that black rims came with chrome lugs. The first set of black lugs off of Amazon scratched easily but my second set is going on two years and still looking sharp. Don't pay $230
I was going to make a similar point. The OP should absolutely make sure that trailer brakes are installed as I think that control and braking are bigger issues going downhill rather than getting up the hill.
I guess that I'm speaking a bit out of my rear end, but much like your furnace filter, you can buy air filters that are thinner and let more air pass through. The question one really needs to be able to answer is whether the filter is doing the intended job.
