As a farmer life is gravel roads and dusty dirt roads and fields. have never had one brand od truck better than the other at keeping out dust. My 21 limited has the mft and I put weatherstrippoing aroung edges to cut down volume of dust. Only way not tohave any dust is not drive on dusty roads.
Update. I have been battling this booming and have tried what buz did. My back cabwall is sound deadened with dynamat followed by putting foam dynaliner over that. Put pool noodle above vents and no help at all. I took that out and sounded the same. I ended up putting foam insulation wrap that...
I put links on my front only for now to raise roughly 1/2". I think the front lower allows less air under the truck to give better aerodynamics. Would like to lower rear maybe 1/4-1/2". Will see.
Installed ridetech rear bags in my 18 longhorn with the timbergrove auto air system. it rode very smooth and leveled for loads and towing very well. Tried the timber grove bags but they were to harsh and bouncy. The ridetech ones are very similar to factory bags.
As far as idling need to bump rpms over 1000 if you do much. 18 hemi longhorn, Az and back every year. Hemi avg 13-16 mpg depending on wind, etc, alot of 70-80 mph. ED same conditions 23-28. Huge difference. As far as any throttle lag, turbo spool takes a moment but otherwise acceleration is...
Just get a pair of front leveling links and replace the factory ones. You can adjust it the way you want. My 21 limited also sat about 1/2-3/4" low and now fornt is level with the adjusting links. Had same issue on my 18 longhorn.
Adding factory rear air bags is very doable. In fact ridetech makes a rear setup for the ram that is similiar bag to oem. You could also use factory rear airbags and put either ridetech system or timbergrove auto air control on it.
It is a reality that is there not OC. Drove a couple different limiteds before bought mine. They were just fine, mine has the booming, sounds like subwoofer when driving under 45mph.
Have had a number of diesels in the past, powerstrokes, duramax, even the old gm 5.7 converted gasser. Bought my first hemi in 17 and then last one in 18. Thd 17 had 3.92's and the 18 had 3.21's. It was hard to tell difference between them. Traded month ago for an ecodiesel. Drove a few before...
Have exact same issue. 21 limited crew cab and of course air suspension. Put a bedrug in box, switched tires and different air pressures. Crawled underneath to see if anything loose. I drive usually in silence also and notice it at same speeds. Would like to fix also. Do you have any pics of...
Just bought a 21 limited eco with 3.92. have 400 miles on it and average is 24.5. On the highway shows 30 mpg at 70. This is all by the dash so would expect might be a bit high. My 18 hemi longhorn I traded with 42000 miles and 3.21 average was 14.
