Becaue some of us take 2000 mile trips. I have had f 150 platinums, ram longhorn's with air suspension and now my 21 limited. I farm so am in the dirrt, gravel, muck, ditches probably more than most here. I want to be able to go from dirt to road and have a smooth ride. Nothing "manly" abourt...
Put the 2 18" putco on mine also. I was lazy so I attached them to the bumper right at the top where it goes back flat right on either side of license plate with the clips and works great. Much quicker install.
Bought my limited in Feb of this year. Traded my 18 longhorn hemi which at first was not sure right move. Now after 9,000 miles I have to say the limited is an absolute pleasure to drive. It is quiet, very comfortable. Averaging 21 mpg as has become colder here but warm average was closer to...
Per what the op asked, yes it will affect mpgs. The rake design is to keep as much air as possible from underneath. Wether it is .5 or 1 or whatever. Also said drive alot of highway miles, so to get an answer what it will cost just assume 1mpg and take that and figure your fuel cost, miles...
My son in law has cooper at3 on their expedition and you hear them more when on the road. The ride compared to the conti is similiar but the conti is smoother. The AT 3 is a better off road tire.
MPG's stayed the same after switch. The contis due to traed pattern and design and lightwieght are kind of an in between highway and at tire, taht is why they are great riding, quiet and do not affect mpg. My own opinion from running them.
You will not be dissapointed with the continentals. I had them on my 18 ram and now on my 21 limited. Put 275/60/20 on my 21. Wanted to go up from factory as they look to small. Did not effect mpg at all in fact lowers rpm because bigger around. I have an ecodiesel. Good luck.
Terrain Contact is not heavy. I think if I remember revos are heavier but do a search and you will find the continental is highly rated and one of the lighter ones. They are very quiet, ride great, do not reduce mpg's and look good. Very nice tire for somone who does alot of highway with some...
