This. I’ve had this issue on my Ram, pervious Jeep, and BMW as well. It’s always the pump. It’s particularly bad in CA with these goofy clean air pumps we have.
In fact, just last fill up it was slooooow. Nothing I could do would speed it up. I decided to cancel the transaction half way...
I’d bet dollars to donuts that the tech will think you set off the panic button. The symptoms sure seem like it, or maybe you locked the truck inadvertently and then set off the alarm by being inside at the time.
Definitely a good suggestion. We should have a dedicated section for problem and TSB threads. Also a separate section for the sales process so we don’t have to be reminded that current deals are better than we got every time we browse the General Discussion area. It would make the forum a lot...
He posted once this morning and has been on the forum many hours later. Hasn’t responded at all to this thread. Tells you all you need to know. I just wonder whether he’s a garden-variety troll or a paid shill.
This thread reminds me of people who see the Virgin Mary in a grease stained paper plate and call it an omen. ;)
This is either a weld bolt/ stud or a pin for alignment of another part as a poster mentioned above. The 8.8 indicates a metric grade bolt, roughly equivalent to a SAE grade 5...
I had a VW dealer once tell me at the table: “This Jetta is good looking, it’s sporty. It’s you, basically.”
So beware the shady dealer who confuses the sales floor with a dance club floor. LOL.
I was thinking similar. When I fill up after having just run around locally, up and down hills, stop and go, the meter drops very quickly and when I fill, seems more accurate more often. The one time it was way off I recall had been a tank including some light off-roading, and finished with a...
I’m planning to get one of these Dakine tailgate pads. I like BostonBlueRam’s blanket solution but want something a little more elegant. This has a cutout for the backup cam too.
For a Rambox truck like mine I imagine we need to go with a smaller pad, like maybe one designed for a Tacoma or...
Mine has been spot on a couple times, has over-reported once or twice around 1.5 mpg, and has even under reported at least once. But usually it’s around .5mpg over. In your case I’d suggest running the tank empty instead of filling after 10 gallons. Your hand calc will be somewhat inaccurate...
This. He said he never owned a truck before. Seems likely he didn’t notice the ride when he was test driving, and now that he owns it he starts to notice what it’s really like to drive a truck. The whole shaking/bumping other trucks thing sounds like classic confirmation bias.
I notice now...
That makes more sense, that it would have two separate air streams, one over the AC and the other over the heater core, and those two are blended and directed to driver or passenger separately. Thanks for the explanation.
1. Thanks, but I don’t think this is the explanation. Restricting hot water entering the heater core affects all air crossing it, not just what sneaks past one blend door farther downstream. One should see all vents get colder, not just the drivers side.
2. Maybe, but heat is still entering...
Couple of questions about this for anyone who can opine:
1. Why is the valve only affecting the temps on the driver’s side? Airflow-wise, isn’t the heater core after the evaporator but before the piping splits left/right? I would have thought the effect of the valve would be observed across...
The buyers remorse thing is a big part of it. It’s hard for some folks to get comfortable with a major purchase and will second guess it for months after, no matter how good or bad the experience is.
My previous Jeep and two BMWs I owned work the same as the Ram. I think it’s pretty common. I prefer to have some level of control so I like the system. But that said, I don’t normally need to adjust anything. Even on setting 1 it wipes effectively even when the rain increases significantly.
And those left lane cloggers are, around here, most often in a Prius, Camry, or Odyssey. And they seem pretty evenly divided between being dense/stupid and being self-absorbed “how dare you tell me how to act” types.
