I set the bars on the propride wdh at 3” long. I think if I go to 2” long that will get me F: 36 3/4 and R: 39”
The 30 mile drive home from storage the truck felt good. No sway until I hit around 64mph. It was only...
Are you planning to try out the XHD’s? Also are you getting any bobbing effect while towing with the HDs?
I’m excited to hook to camper for the first time with new truck tonight so I will post up my measurements to compare my differences.
My Hellwig 7793 should be here tomorrow according to...
Hey thanks for stopping over. I’ve already tried and still own the WeighSafe and now a propride and really love the ease of use on the propride. So simple to hook and unhook. Spendy but made a big difference with sway.
Let me know how those 893’s work out.
I got these in so I am going to try these out before doing a full coil swap. They’re the motofab 2” leveling blocks. They go on top of the coil over so it shouldn’t mess with how the truck drives and feels. Also this is a cheap way for me to get back towards level to figure out if 2” is too much...
Curious if others have chased down TT sway and what you have found to be the most helpful.
I realize that maybe i will never get it 100% and maybe the answer is a smaller camper but I want to try other things first to see how it impacts towing.
I wanted to create a thread where I could document changes I plan to make and have already done to improve the towing feel.
My truck: 2024 Laramie non air, non ORP, 3.92’s, 5.7l e-torque. 4x4. Crew cab, short box, 275/55r20’s
Towing: 2021 Solaire 243bhs travel trailer. Loaded tongue weight...
For sure less body roll and a bit more firm. The OEM felt floaty and less connected. Don’t get me wrong the OEM are great for daily driving and and comfort but at the cost of bounce. Going over a speed bump it just keeps going up and down. The 5100’s settle out much faster.
I’ll keep you updated for sure. I’m hoping I will notice a change this time around. So far the best change I have notice out of all the ones I have done to all my rams has been the 5100’s. Idk why I never did this to previous trucks.
I also much prefer heavy duty coils over airlift 1000’s too...
My rear 1” motofab spacers are installed. Now my rear coils are no longer loose when lifting the rear wheels off the ground. It really improved the look too.
Now I need to order the front 5100’s with orp’s to get the front leveled out.
My sway bar is delayed by shipping for some reason now so...
I saw the cargomaxx springs on eBay are an extra 15% off right now. Really thinking I might pick up a set of XHD’s to test out. Discount makes them $200.
I pick up my camper this weekend so it will interesting to see how well the 1211’s and Hellwig 7793 do. It’s only about a 30 minute drive...
I haven’t installed mine yet but after doing more reading I am seeing others state similar.
Do they just feel like your suspension is bottomed out when towing?
I just realized that it’s rude of me to have continued conversations on this thread when it isn’t related directly to the topic. It...
I caved and ordered the Hellwig 7793… I spent the evening reading through every post and people rave about them. Ordered through Amazon for next day delivery.
I’ve been eyeing up the Hellwig too but in previous rams I was never really sure it changed anything.
I did see hellwig came out with an even beefier sway bar so I might give that a try.
I feel like most people changing suspension are looking for a softer ride and better for off-road. But...
I am still a bit undecided on all this. For now I’m going to stick with the 1211’s but going to install a 1” riser. Should be here Friday. Also going to toss on a set of timbrens too.
I’m waiting until next week for the official test as I’m going to go pick up the camper to get it ready for our...
That was exactly what I have been searching for. I’m thinking I may do the 893XHD’s. Your explanation of it feeling like a 2500/3500 is what I’m looking for when towing. I appreciate the side by side pics too. I’ll keep watching to see how your next trip goes. Interested to see what difference...
This is the thread I have been searching for! Was the 351-893HD the same length as the stock oems?
I did the 1211’s but looking for a slight lift in the rear.
Edit: I have a 2024 Laramie non ORP.
