I believe that's the transmission lag, not the etorque lag; test it with start/stop disabled to see if there's a slight delay when you stomp the pedal from a stop. Invest in a Pedal Commander to eliminate if so.
Do you have a (Ram or non-forum) link for this? I was under the impression that only the max tow package and specific 4x2 packages included the tranny cooler.
If you are not within eyesight or earshot of the truck, you can also use the Uconnect Guard app if you have the 12" or 8.4" screen with Nav, which takes longer but will tell you if the signal to start the truck was successful.
I disagree; current reviews already show that the tranny runs at the high end of its temp range under load, so to increase that load I think you would need to pair that 6.4l to a higher gear or a heavier duty tranny.
While probably true, it doesn’t explain why the truck frame with a 6.4l can handle 10k lbs while the same truck with a 5.7l can only handle 9k lbs, when on the other hand a 4x2 1500 with either a 3.6l or a 5.7l are both rated at the same 6900 lbs :P
This is confusing; why does the 6.4 with identical components have a signicant GVWR boost, while the 1500 with a v6 (and weaker tranny) has an identical GVWR to it’s 5.7?
Your right, the reference I found was actually listing a 3500 in it’s 3/4 ton list:
https://www.car.com/buying-guides/best-ton-trucks-10038/
However, I believe the tow rating on that 3500 is transmission limited and won’t increase with a bigger motor, even if a bigger motor will accelerate...
The 3.92 is to reduce stress on the transmission and drivetrain components far more then the engine; if you use the same transmission, a 3.55 gear will lower your towing rating even with a 6.4 engine.
The main reason the 3.55 takes a tow rating hit on the v6 is that it is a much lower rated...
Lol, if universal compatibility and consistency was a priority, then we wouldn't have 3 different Uconnect apps. Sometimes it's cheaper just to toss different teams on independent branches and worry about merging it back together down the road if and when they are forced to.
It's more likely that it is two independent code branches, with one only compatible with the non-surround/360 camera software and the other for the 360, but in essence the code is probably identical yet still requires some mandatory quality testing after copy/pasting into the 360 branch which...
I prefer KBB simply due to getting an online quote that can then be sold directly at a number of local affiliated dealers vs driving all the way to a Carmax dealership; I've also seen pricing offers go both ways, so if the Carmax dealership is close enough to you then it doesn't hurt to get...
Try the web app as well if the phone app isn’t working:

It lets you send the same start/stop/lock commands from any web browser, so you can start the truck from a laptop.

What is the Kbb instant cash offer? If it is close to what you owe, then take that offer to the dealership, and if they don’t match it (or get close enough to break even with taxes), sell it to the kbb affiliated dealer. I got $4k more for my trade doing that.
Scary advice, considering the amount of posts with people that traded back 6 month old trucks due to major issues they couldn’t get fixed.
Anyone selling a vehicle less then a year old is usually doing it for the same reason you shouldn’t buy it.
That Coyote is a fantastic engine, but keep in mind though that it needs to be at 5700 RPM to make the horsepower while the Hemi does it at 5600, and it needs to be at 4500 RPM to make the torque while the Hemi does it at 3950. Honestly, it is a well-known trick for manufacturers to tweak the...
