First time trailering my 7x12 aluminum single axle open trailer (~1000#) with Honda Pioneer 1000-5LE (~1800#). Mainly highway between 65 and 70mph. Pulled smoother than my 2014 Silverado. Real test will be 25' aluminum enclosed with three long tracks in trailer and a fourth shoved in bed.
Jordan, do you know what the drain tube is coming out of the rear driver's side cab? The rear document you uploaded would lead me to believe the rear tube is only on passenger side. I just discovered my carpet is wet on floor around the storage box.
Call Clay at Robbins Motors 785-537-0357 ($50 over MSRP). They were cheaper than Zeigler, although Bob's pretty close at $100 above MSRP. I got the Ram Advantage (5yr/100k/$100 deductible) for $1160. See attached "SAMPLE".
Has anyone come across a clear vinyl wrap for the gas door and the area around tailgate handle. I see these as two common use areas that could use paint protection film.
Wheel Well liners are a must in Michigan. 2 of 3 trucks I looked at had them. First truck I looked at did not-dealer would have had to install. If you're going to encounter salted roads, get them.
Here's some pics of the direct to battery install. The LED strip is exact length of bed rails. Tips:
1. 1/4" wire loom from Harbor Freight 2-14' sections $7, wrap + and ground before install
2. Ground under hood drivers side, just behind battery - see pic
3. Run loom along frame to rear, up...
I just ordered the 921 LED bulbs today after I finished the direct battery/plunger switch install. I left enough wire to do the factory install and used bullet connectors at the switch. Winter has arrived in MI and will probably do the factory install next year, unless I leave the light on and...
Here's some pics I took yesterday during install. The grey plug is an arm's length from rear passenger side, just behind storage box. Drill a small hole slightly less than diameter of wire, feed a bunch up, so you have it to grab and pull from under carpet. Splice it and pull excess back out...
I've got the Mictuning rock lights on my Honda Pioneer SxS, which I've been happy with. I'm following Jordan's lead, so I picked up these from Amazon. Received them, just too cold in Michigan for install. The switch does have a hole in the opposite side of wire housing-I will just liquid tape it...
