Straps are a short term solution until I figure out a better way to bolt it And make some mounts. Too hot out to be crawling under the truck this week.
It's a much tighter fit than I was wanting until I find a new home for the ml-acr. I had to get everything buttoned up today since the...
Almost done. Spent a few hours a night this week when it wasn't raining.
1/0ga from starter battery to 150amp fuse to BlueSea ML-ACR charge relay. 2ga from Relay to new Odyssey AGM Battery. 8ga ran to a fuse box in the bed. 12v socket plug and USB outlet in bed to bed fuse box. 12v Fridge...
It's taken me forever to find time for this, but this weekend I made lot's of progress. I designed and 3d printed a pretty rough but workable platform for the battery (Odyssey 31M-PC2150) and it's enclosure, to straighten out the area over the passenger wheel well. The 3d printed part was then...
There are companies that make sleeping mods/berths for trucks.
Be careful though if it obviously looks like one. Staties will do anything to write another ticket. One big thing to note is that any sleeping modification to a truck needs to be DoT certified (Regulation section 393.76), which...
If the printer has a heated bed (90c) and higher temp nozzle (225c), you may want to recommend he tries out ASA as an alternative to PLA. ASA is more resilient to hot cab temps in summer, it's UV resistant, and also not prone to become brittle in humidity or cold temps. Much better for auto...
I had a quote from Zeigler when I bought mine from the Dealer. The dealer price matched it for me. I did all this AFTER initial negotiations on the truck, so I know they did not backend the discount into the truck price. Also had my own financing established with my back, another route taken so...
I thought plows weren't recommended on the new 1500s due to the airbag sensors. Did they have to do anything to disable them or change the sensitivity?
Nice, very clean install.
I am planning something similar. AUX dual battery setup in the engine well, AGM deep cycles, running off a BlueSea ML-ACR charging relay w/ 1/0 gauge wiring between ACR and batteries.
Possibly a flexible solar panel on the tonneau cover to offline trickle charge.
I have the USVisor ones from eBay. Fit and look nice.
The roof is so narrow compared to the body and lower ledge of window, they are basically a requirement.
Installed 3GCustomz engine cover, that I had powder coated in dorman orange with metallic black backing plates.
Sadly though, since these were designed for 4th gen, I can only install the passenger side until I modify (cut off half) of the driver side cover.
Have no fear.
3M tested their VHB 4950 tape, which is pretty standard, for 300k simulated miles on a semi-truck that had it's doors and a walls of the trailer held together only by tape.
They also have video of semi trucks playing tug of war and pulling each other by cables connected with...
Mine works, takes 30-60 seconds for truck to react (start/lock doors/etc).
Originally i had a nightmare since the dealership put the wrong email address, wrong name, etc. The email and VIN need to make both mopar.com site and uconnect/sirius site.
My keyfob range is terribad, 20ft or...
I have the same cover. It's awesome. I just wish they kept the old fashioned lock that let you use the truck key to open it. That was the main selling point from their ads, and come to find out it's not supported anymore since the locks kept breaking.
