That's rough. Mine HOPEFULLY will be fixed by the end of next week. I'll gladly pm you my dealer/service advisors info if you want to try to have your dealer contact them.
My dealer ended up getting the tsb i posted above approved from ram, even though my build date doesn't line up. New steering rack is on order. They were never able to duplicate the issue. I did send them this thread to show it is very hard to duplicate based on other reports.
Is there anyway...
4 auto does work the transfer case a little harder. if you're using it a lot may want to consider changing the t-case fluid a sooner. shouldn't be much concern in the short term unless its constantly switching the front end on and off. which if that's the case just put it in 4wd
currently at 4200 miles. i get 15.5 combined 18 highway. oil changed to m1 full syn at 2k. software updates performed at 3k. i use costco 93 octane exclusively. mileage is below epa but at expectations
This tsb addresses "less than desired steering response"
Says it only applies to August 18 build dates.
I wish I had put my build date in my signature since now I can't remember it... I'm still sending it to them.

Do you have any more info? I have a feeling it'll be tough getting info from the dealer just asking if they remember the 2019 with the bad steering rack. Possibly a star case# or you service advisor/mechanics name
I took mine in Thursday. They did the recall, even though they already did it when it was still a tsb.. did a bunch of software updates again and said they couldn't duplicate it and thought it was fixed.
So I went and drove for an hour and found a route that'll reliably duplicate it. 20 miles...
a truck with 22's will be the best handling, due to the lower profile tires. the rebel definately will be worse with the big 70 series tires don't like hard cornering.
an aftermarket sway bar and some rear lowering springs would make a world of difference.
I have the a 09 hemi spec'd(fatter and taller) wix 57899XP waiting for my next oil change. picked up a 5 quart penzoil platinum + wix xp for 20$ after MIR from oreileys. 10$ from oreileys+10$ from penzoil.
the one i have on there now is the taller but not fat one from the 2012's and i had zero...
that looks like somethings missing in the rear to me. looks like it would rub like crazy, especially if you put anything substantial in the bed.
there should be a 6" spacer on top of the rear springs and the longer rough country shocks(plus a bunch of other little brackets for track bars/brake...
the ford fusion hybrid took a lot of heat for owners not being able to attain epa mileage. i'd imagine that's why ford has hired a outside firm to investigate the ranger. also why the raptor got its own MPG rating. they don't want to be associated with incorrectly rated vehicles.
my post about...
Mine is on it's third set of updates on the pcm/tcm/hcm on 3 different dealer visits, albeit for the same complaint.
The 2 most recently show different revisions on my receipts
overall i mainly got it for resale value. the only other upside for me would be having a map in the truck if i was outside of cell service. although the age of the maps negates that quite a bit. my map version 2017 or 2018 i believe but my house/subdivison was built in 2014 and my road doesn't...
