I’m not getting my hopes up as I haven’t come across anyone gloating about how great it is to use the factory screen to back up their trailer but I’ve been wandering the same thing.
What about a good ole fashion matching camper shell? My dad always had a shell for his trucks weather he kept them on full time or took them on and off the work truck as needed. You can securely bring everything you need and more. Plus have a back up place to sleep comfortably out of the weather.
I haven’t been able to find a 1 inch lift. eBay had some generic one inch last time I checked that i can’t trust. there’s 1 inch for the rear coils. Then Moto fab has one that says 1/2 inch of lift On their site for the front.
I’m in the same boat with the ORP. I don’t plan to go full level though for towing purposes. Just want an inch or inch and a half. Was thinking small spacer and call it good for now. I like the way the truck rides so far. Figured a small spacer wouldn’t effect the ride as much. Bilstein have...
I’m looking at the Fuel Tech D672’s but haven’t seen any one attempt to run these? 18x9 with +1 off set. My shop I’m using was recommended to go 20’s by their supplier because of 18’s often having fitment issues.
The newer trucks these days are built for efficiency so the factory filter shouldn’t be chocked up in stock form. The eco boost Ford’s had around 500hp worth of flow. 5 star recommended nothing other than their tune.
Exactly that. You know you’re having a problem. Across any brand there are inconsistencies like this. Same thing with the 18 Ford I had. Some people had same issues as others, some did not. The majority of the trucks could be fine but with so many being built a small percentage becomes 1000’s of...
3.92’s here and mine feels good. I bet some of these complaints come from people who are new to trucks. There is a learning curve to driving trucks because they won’t drive like nippy little cars. I just drove an E class coupe last week. If you want daily driven response, go rock one of those...
I came from an 18 F150. I really did enjoy that truck. Ran premium in the 3.5 eco all day everyday with a smile on my face. That was definitely the highlight. Pulled very well but it ran close to power down mode towing my travel trailer up the mountains in Arizona heat. Trans would get to the...
My recently purchased 21 hasn’t had any issues with this yet. Maybe they figured it out. My 18 F150 with the 3.5 eco boost had to get revised a few times to get that truck running right. Besides the cam phasers being replaced at 22k. Mine was so bad that the truck literally slowed down hard...
My trailer weighs 7500-8k loaded. So payload was a major deciding factor. I ordered mine but without the larger tank. I would have liked to have it, that is a fact. These trucks are just payload dependent so I tried to shave off anything that wasn’t a must have. I already scaled my trailer and...
This thread has concerned me. Is anyone else having issues overheating the clutches or is this a rare occurrence?
I haven’t put my truck through it’s paces yet but I plan to soon. I’ve got my 34 and a half’s haha, in the garage. 285/70/18 ridge grapplers. Hoping to not run into this short...
Jesus is right!? Both my grandparents worked there as well. Around the 60’s,70’s. They moved to San Diego in the mid 70’s. Next you’re going to tell me we’re related 🤣
Looks great 👍🏻 congrats! Yeah that’s got to be a unicorn. It was impossible to find an ORP Laramie diesel so I had to order mine. Plus many were just too loaded and I wanted to conserve payload. Because of issues with inventory lately my dealer has a record number of ordered trucks. Just not...
Thanks man! Loving it so far. The night edition looks great in billet silver. We had a Grand Cherokee Overland in billet silver and had to do it again. The ORP package really does these trucks justice. I keep going back and forth if I’m going to do the one inch spacer or not but I’d like to...
Check out the other 295 thread going.
295/70/R18 - Anyone Running These?
Someone just posted a 4x4 non ORP truck running 295/70/18. Says just slight rubbing.
Someone on here has 285/70/18 grapplers on an ORP truck without rub. They’re a 33.7 x 11.5. I’m probably going to put a 1 inch spacer in front and run the 285/70/18 or the 295/70/18. I haven’t looked into 285/75’s.
Here’s a pic of the 285/70/18 truck. I think it looks great.
Was it the ridge grappler or the terra grappler? I’ve seen the terra grappler G2 offered with an XL rating in that size. 2700# load capacity. Which is more than the C rated LT’s that came on my truck at 2500#. My factory tires weigh 49 lbs and those XL rated Terra Grapplers only weigh 51 lbs. So...
