If the car wash will not do anything about it and you can't purchase new just the hinge piece, how about trying to find a wrecking yard that would be willing to sell you the hinge piece? Most salvage yards can communicate with other yards to locate an item.

Thanks for your reply. I had asked that because on my Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT and Dodge Durango SRT, the hot underhood air actually escapes through the hood vents.
