These are great covers. This is the one I picked up from Amazon (Covercraft UVS100 Custom Sunscreen | UV11588SV). Fits perfect and keeps the truck cooler now that it sits outside the garage( new 2500 get the garage now)

That was my fear. I don't want some 18 year old newbie tearing apart my dash. I will just use the A/C hack and be happy with the performance of it. Only takes me 5 seconds to switch it off in the Fall.

I have also had mine in for 1.5 years. It was an easy install and works great. I was getting 64 out of the driver's side before and after is went to 52. I used this one, but you can also just purchase the items separately for a bit cheaper. I went with the convenience factor.

Only way I can think of is to install a battery kill switch, something similar to what I have on my boat....

Yes, it happened to me also, the plastic piece just snapped while I was swinging it to my left. I had the truck about a year when this happened. Dealer fixed it while I waited.

Actually my wife made me buy 2 for this reason. One in use, the other is clean or is being dried after washing it. Same with out roomba vacuum cleaner filter.

I didn't even look at mine until 4 years had past. I think I will be putting in a reminder in my calendar to change/wash this at least every year!

I am currently installing the BlackVue DR750X in my 2022 2500. I wired the front camera to one of my in cab wires from my aux switch. The new 2022 has 4 possible in cab wires. I will try and find the posting on HDrams.
