I would definitely go with the '19 1500. It really is great truck. The problems that people are having is covered under warranty. As long as you have a good dealer with a decent service department. I have had a couple of warranty trips, but the truck is a dream to drive.
My BUG option on my laramie was $795. This included spray-in bed liner, tie-down hooks and bed lighting. Mine did not come with the divider or bed step. Not sure it was worth it.
You can disable the rear parking brake assist (the slamming on of the brakes) without turning off the sensors. I did this so I can tell how close I get to my garage without the truck trying to stop it. To disable it, go into uConnect and look for "brake assist".
Sounds like a good starting point for negotiating a lower price. They will have to warranty the work anyway, might as well get a better price for the inconvenience. If you like the truck with the options and color, I would not hesitate buying it.
