After reading this thread I looked into the warranty I purchased for my truck, and I’m glad I did. I just asked for the extended warranty, and assumed I was getting the Mopar one. It is in fact from a 3rd party and I paid 2000 for it. Tonight I got a quote from the 800 number on the Mopar site...
I didn’t fall for the “hey smell this”, but when I dumped it out it was mostly oil. I replaced the oil at 800 and change, because we were going on a trip, and didn’t check it then. This is after a trip from Tulsa to Gatlinburg and back, with a couple days driving through the smokies in between.
Just emptied mine for the first time at 2800 miles, and it was about 1/3 to just under half full. Had it on since 400 miles. Wish I would have put one on my last truck now.
.
The dealer washed it before I could stop them. I honestly didn’t even think of it until I got it home. It’s hardly noticeable, but I can’t unsee it in the sun and it makes me twitchy.
I had HIDs (both high and low beam) and XML2 leds in my fog lights on my gen4, and the LH lights are just as good. The part I was worried about was my field of view left to right, because we have a lot of suicidal deer here, but they went well to either side of the road down 2 lane I40 on our...
I just got a quote for Gtechniq, single pass paint correction, and 2 coats of Exo for 1400 5yr warranty or 1700 9yr warranty. I scheduled it for next Monday.
Just got to Gatlinburg from Tulsa, and the trip was awesome. Such a comfort difference from my ‘13 Laramie. I never had a complaint about that truck being uncomfortable, but this truck just glides down the highway. It will be at about 2500 miles when we get home.
I’ve spoke to the customer service people about a few options, and they told me the mufflers take 1000/1500 miles to fully break in. Curious how your trip goes.
Put in my rock lights (still trying to find the cargo light wire to tap no time lately), tonneau cover, ram valve stem caps, and mopar bug shield. Plasti dipped the bug shield trying to match the paint a bit. This way if it gets chipped I don't have to get it repainted. Waiting on exhaust...
I have never tried to see if the trucks locked will the button at the lights work. The button at the lights worked worth my tailgate down(I have a tonneau cover and I need it to see at night), open door, unlock, and dash button turn them on. I will check mine to see if the truck being locked...
Ya the small 2 wire connectors, running with the larger tail light wire, is what they plugged into. I ran wires the length of the truck on both sides, and there were no other runs besides the main run on the drivers side. It’s a shame they don’t install and just cap those plugs off for people...
Sorry for the delay. I was fighting rain all weekend trying to get my rock lights installed. Here are the pics of the bed lights. Both sides look to come down and go directly into a plug.
So easy. Just heated them a little with a heat gun (hair dryer will work too) and peel them off. Heat as you go and you shouldn’t even have any residue to clean off.
@ARSPORTSMAN is correct about the plugs in the rear of the truck, at least on my Longhorn. That explains why I didn't see them under the dash. It's right behind the driver's side rear tire mounted to the frame. I also had them installed from the factory, and have the bed package, so I don't know...
