I had an Aug build Rebel that did not do this, I ended up in an Oct build Rebel and it does do this, completely different throttle response/surging. Very noticeable.

I leaned on the dealer very hard. they contacted Mopar who offered cash back or to unwind the deal. I planned to custom order a Rebel (knowing the animated lights are not an option) and ended up taking another truck off the lot, I didn't want to wait 3 or 4 months.

knowing they won't use these lights, I am sticking with Rebel, optioned as I like, no expectation of animated lights.

you don't have it, none of them do. there is video of it on the ram web site. think it's under the limited or RHO pages

they said the entire front of the truck needs to be changed... I'm not sure that's true... I would have thought install lights and be done....

Mopar is buying back my Rebel because of the missing animated lights (LEDs). I will special order either another Rebel optioned exactly the way I wanted it or order a limited.

my dealer did the software update, it still seems to surge a bit but the audible misfire seems to be gone.

I am declining the cash offer from Mopar and doing a custom order, returning this truck. This could become a large issue with Rebel/Laramie owners that paid for the level 2 package. Looks like limited and RHO are only trucks getting these lights.

My suggestion is take it to the dealer and ask about the lights, it seems it will be worth your while. my 2 cents

I have had truck since sept. Guess they don't have a leg to stand on in this situation? I've considered the cash back, the truck is pretty nice, but I hate the moon roof, blasting heat on my head on a hot sunny day. I don't have more details yet. also, no Rebel level 2's being built until 2025...

So, none of the level 2 Rebels have these lights. Mopar offered me $ back and they will not be able to install the new lights without replacing the front of the truck I am told. Option 2 is unwind the deal and buy a different truck. I am likely to do a customer order after this.

Mine is at the dealer for non-functional animations, it's likely the headlights and taillights are not the correct parts. will find out tomorrow if the programming is there and what next steps are. see also - Rebel 2 package animated headlights and taillight

So service Mgr told me it says they are supposed to be there. They called Mopar and Mopar agrees, they are listed and are supposed to be there. dropping off tomorrow to ensure the sales code isn't missing from the programming, then verify the as-built headlights/taillights are correct or not.

I am now being asked to return the truck so service can install the missing items (head and tail lamps). I don't have high confidence.

I also find in interesting I can configure the same truck I bought on the Ram website, and its over $5k less than what I paid???

Anyone have any idea what a customer preferred 21W package consists of? Specifically, what is included? Mine is listed as such.. and my window sticker says I have items that aren't on my truck (animated mirrors). I also seem to be missing the cameras on my tow mirrors, and I have towing tech...
